Furbolgs for the alliance/Ogres for the horde

Not sure if the octowow dev team is planning to do this but would be cool if in the future we had playable furbolgs for alli and ogre's for the horde

But there will be huge problem with pala for Horde... hard to implement such change.
Ud Death Knight with "unholy" instead of holy spellbook?

i mean undead can already be priest and use the light so already weird if you look at this way, but no i'm just suggesting furbolgs for the alliance and ogres for the horde for something down the line

I do not like the idea, mainly because I feel the devs should focus on fixing bugs and work on the things already implemented before creating anything new.

Furbolgs are a lame ass race with a single storyline repeated endlessly and it's that every furbolg ever seems to get corrupted by something and then we have to murder them. Furbolgs are fine as background story flavour but they are not the types to carry a story and the Alliance has better options available anyway like the Draenei who have a lot going on (rebuilding their civilisation from ruins, plane-spanning teleportation magic, hunting and leatherworking, deep and justified hatred for the orcs, etc.)

Furbolg also have a very specific and limited aesthetic and the moment you start dressing them in player character gear like plate and cloth they're going to look goofy as heck.

No one is asking for Palas in the Horde...

I don't see any reason for the Furbolgs to be hostile to the horde, especially the tauren. I think they work best as a neutral faction, especially given the Timbermaw are neutral. Also rigging gear on them would be incredibly difficult.

Also given the Furbolgs more shamanistic proclitivites I would say that they fit better as a horde race if anything, even if nightelves have helped them a good bit, but so have the tauren.

I honestly don't know what race in vanilla wow could be logically given to the alliance here, the closest is the rare friendly satyr that exist, but there's like 3 of them in all of the lore as of 2006, so they wouldn't exactly make for a great playable race. (But at least they have male and female models).

We know blizz wanted to do playable naga, but couldn't figure out how gear would work given their tails, as well as mounting.

UD can actually use the light, it just hurts them, but it doesn't harm them. It is incredibly uncomfortable for them but it wouldn't cause them to die over time, just a horrible existence where they can feel the maggots in their intenstines and smell their own rot.

Theoretically it would make for an incredible race class quest about how UD paladins are probably the most selfless race/class combo.

But I honestly don't know where I stand on ally shaman / horde paladin.

Furbolgs are explicitly shamanistic, I thank that is the issue they are bringing up

I agree with this...the only time ive ever seen Furbolgs done well was on Azeroth at War which actually showed the fall of Hyjal if you started as a Furbolg...however..while that was REALLY awesome...its the only time ive seen it done well at all!!!
