Controlling a market is totally normal in classic wow - its how we paid for our guild bank and 3 tabs in it already. we use the eyes of shadow to do that on top of high end crafts that we do sell to the public but at a premium. we all agreed as a guild to gate keep recipes to drive the prices up so we all could make money. is it scummy, maybe, but that's something i am OK with. I come from a game that gatekeeping and controlling resources is king and i bring that mentality to WoW for better or worse."

This is what your GM Lopp wrote on the forums btw, just wanted to let you know.
And the confirmed bug abuse they do for monetary gain?
Dreamscale and the rare mob spawn abuse come to mind. Both confirmed but not even a temp ban went out to these players. Encouraging the players to keep doing it.

Im glad we can all take a lil jokey joke, but mentioning you got someone to call when shit doesn't go your way is kinda in bad taste with all things considered xP

I'm not even a Levia member and I agree that there's nothing improper about this. Anyone who has some kind of strong position can levearge it to gain some type of advantage. I was buying out cheap Iron Buckles and relisting them for a while to keep the price high, until enough [kind words] people flooded the market with huge undercuts that it was unsustainable for me to continue to do so.

Yes, because the people were caught doing it and the bugs were fixed.
