I created a Human Hunter and reached around level 12 in Westfall and I can say that there is something wrong with the class, because it feels very weak. I got a pet and I hoped this would increase my power significantly, but what happened was I still feel weak with a BM build. My pet takes too much damage and my character also takes too much damage. Each encounter with a mob between level 10 and 13 results in me almost dying and then having to go into downtime to recover so I can defeat another mob. I don't remember the Hunter like this in neither Turtle WoW nor Vanilla WoW. The Hunter was kind of weak, but not so much before level 10, but after getting a pet at level 10, it should become significantly stronger. Now I feel like I'm weaker than a Mage who can defeat enemies much faster.

I don't know if this is a result of the Turtle WoW changes, but I don't recall the Hunter being so weak. If anyone plays a Hunter, could they share an opinion?

It's not that great, it's white items from Elwynn Forest, maybe one green item and that's it. But I don't remember mobs being that hard and my character being so weak.

Nonsense... vanilla is quite hard when you are in statless and low dps whites/greys. I suggest getting a gun/ammo upgrade and burnt leather breeches from the auction house. I can craft you a gun if youd so please.

I played some more on that character and got it to level 21 and got much better gear and things got a bit easier, but between that time I played on another Vanilla WoW server that is not Vanilla+ and I can tell you that it's generally much easier than Turtle WoW/Octo WoW. I think Turtle WoW did some changes to mobs about a year before they shut down so they make leveling a bit more challenging, but I can't say if that makes it any more fun or just more tedious. Either way, with better gear it gets better.

Is a Gun better than a Bow for Hunter? I've been using Bows since forever and I think they are more common than Guns.

Everybody that leveled pre patch shouldn't talk here.

I level Rogue, Warrior, Priest and Druid.

Before patch u were just roaming threw the whole content like it is nothing. Now SOME stuff is really overtuned.
XP Nerf on mobs is like 35-40% . Normal defias mobs on lvl 28 hit for 140 into full mail gear with DMR shield.
Dungeon mobs hit a Prot warrior with 2.9k armor and 30+ def for up to 370 crit on level 35. And they feel to have like 30% crit. Because how the fuck a lvl 30 elite can crit 7 out of 20 times into a lvl 35 warrior that having overall +30 defense? Are u joking? Everything is SO fuckin slow now and pre patch u could even clap Elites solo with alot of classes. Try it now please XD Level again - it is now +50% time for what? For the challenge? xD wasn't slow and steady alrdy in the game for that bullshit?

Prepatch my protwarrior pulled 5-6 mobs and went out with ~ 40-60% hp depending on mobs. Now i sometimes go out with 20% health on 2 mobs. Complete skill issue i guess xD Tell me what "abilities" i should use to change that while i have 100% uptime skilled shieldslam and singletargetdps of 130 ~ on lvl 30 as prot?

Also a nonelite scorpid reaver lvl 28 doing 140 noncrit hits is complete stupid. Caster on this lvl have like 700-800 health. It wont kill me but its soooo fun that my regtime now is doubled while prepatch i wasn't even using one drink.

And to the comments like everybody would left when it's to easy. Then tell me PLEASE why original turtle had +30k players online and alot of them doing stuff like kara10 in geared out toon that was more joke on difficulty than doing deadmines lol. Why on turtle pre this stupid xp nerf mob buff patch u where finding dungeongroups in like 1-5 minutes on ALL levels while they have been really easy? Guess was too boring to get nice level gear makin u faster. Right now some leveling dungeons are way harder than doing tbc heroics without gear and provide even
less XP than before.

If everybody would leave when it is too easy everybody that leveled pre patch should have left already because it was really fuckin easy to do that ;) Or even better - like first 2-4 weeks of the server some classes have been even overtuned like rogues that dealt 170 DPS on fuckin level 24 - Why they haven't left instant? When i tryed rogue in week 2 u could blade flurry on lvl 12 and bash 3-4 mobs with like spamming 3 times sinister strike. Oh what a challenge ... And my feral druid in week 3 testing had like 77k xp/h grindspeed on level 28 with crap gear. Now i hit like 32k xp/h with the SAME character on the SAME place. Both rested. Total skill issue i guess. The fuck ...

"if you don't agree with me then don't talk" lol.. no one said everyone will leave if it's too easy. maybe they will? maybe also leave if it's too hard? or leave for any reason or change at all. personal opinion is that when it's a bit more hard it's more fun for me. If the game isn't challenging me then it's just a boring faceroll - I'm allowed to disagree just as you are to me.. if the game had released in this state where the developers had made the game tougher, you would probably still play right? it would still gain international news, and this wall of text probably wouldn't exist, so long as it isn't Super Meat boy levels of difficulty.. humans can adapt, but when the habit is changed e.g the difficulty that everyone knows for two decades now is changed, this is where the frustration is caused, because it isn't what they've become used to, even for such a slight change as this

Perhaps taking a little more care into finding gear upgrades and scraping together for cheap enchants would be of a great benefit, since that is actually playing the game and not treating it like a season where you can hit 60 in full greys no problem. It is my favorite thing to do which is one of the reasons why I think the difficulty is still easy.

Never ever do this game easier. If you think its too hard, start communicate with players around you. If you do not like to be social with others and gets irritated on the difficulty i suggest you play retail.
