I spent $200 on twow about a month before it shut down. Tried to get a refund and lost the dispute because the bank said I received the merchandise. I didn't even know twow was shutting down at the time, otherwise I would have never. The donations carry over here, are extremely p2w, overpriced, and bitcoin only. I would strongly suggest you think thrice before making a donation. The Octowow team we have no clue if they are even good developers, whether they can actually make their own content besides what the twow team already made, and if they even have the correct direction for the server. So far they hired a terrible GM and already have scandals. They need to earn support before you just throw money at them. Unfortunately I have already spent a ton of money myself on this server, but i did that knowing I will never get that money back and the possibility the server might die tomorrow with a cease and desist. I have the extra cash so I'm fine with it.

Paypal and venmo did not work for me when trying to donate. Apparently both platforms do not allow for you to send cryptocurrency outside of their platforms. They don't state this explicitly, but it's a widely known "feature" of both platforms.

Cashapp however worked perfectly for me the two times I used it.

Having other crypto tokens except Bitcoin would've been great. The easiest way to get crypto is on some exchange and usually withdrawal fees for Bitcoin there are relatively high (~$5-$15). And for small $10-$30 donations it feels like you will be wasting big part of it on a fee.
There are "anonymous" tokens like ZCash or XMR which have comparably low transfer fees.

I used Revolut, lets you use your google play balance to pay towards crypto wallets.
So basically any payment method google play allows.

OK, how do you use Cashapp to donate?

I don't work for, nor do I have any affiliation with OctoWoW operations, the team, or the project. As a player, this is the process I followed to donate through Cashapp.

1. Buy bitcoin through cashapp
2. Go to the donate page https://octowow.st/donate
3. Set the slider to how much you want to donate (I recommend selecting 5 euros under the amount of bitcoin you own as you need to pay the gas tax) and click generate the temporary address
4. A QR code will appear on the website. Go back to cashapp pay screen and select the QR code option and scan the QR code on your computer
5. Submit the payment
6. Keep the window open and wait for the blockchain to confirm the payment. I strongly recommend taking 1 screenshot of the window mid-confirmation and 1 screenshot after confirmation is completed for record purposes (Step 8)
7. Wait up to 2 hours for the coins to appear in your character's donation shop window
8. If your coins don't appear after 2 hours, submit a ticket and post your evidence of payment from Step 6

I use Revolut. Every donation ive done, I've gained the points within 15 min or so.

Pretty quick and easy after i made an account on it. I always choose coinbase when it asks me what vallet i want to use, mostly caused i heard someone say that worked well for them. Been flawless so far.

Same deal with scanning the QR code.

Tho a bit hard to judge exactly how much to spent to get the points i want, not a big deal for me, got all i wanted for now. But can be a slight annoyance.

That said ive heard mentions that they are working on another option.
