A lot of the folks here can't read or just skim.Monster wrote: Thu Jul 23, 2026 7:51 amyou might need reading glasses, try againAyesha wrote: Thu Jul 23, 2026 7:32 am I’m sorry I don’t think I agree with removing the scaling. sure. so bringing 20 players instead of 40 players on a small server reduces the epic feel of the raid. now instead of the boss being so difficult that you need 40 players, its instead made easier so that you only need 20 players. i understand a small server doesnt have as many players available to raid, and so some players might miss out on the opportunity to raid because of this. thats very unfortunate, and in the wild, when hunter gatherers would go out and hunt down a wildebeast, the hunting party might lose a few weak men to the animal stampede or from getting gored by its horns. its a tragic and unfortunate event, and the return journey home is met by tearful widow(s) after receiving news about their husbands losing their life on the hunt. sometimes unfortunate things happen, and not everyone can be a winner all the time. this is life. on the same note, as it pertains to world of warcraft, the issue isnt with "small server vs giant giga massive mammoth server" its about the amount of loot given. if a boss drops 3 pieces of loot regardless of how many players fight it, and theres a system that makes the boss weaker if i bring fewer players, why wouldnt i bring fewer players?Ayesha wrote: Fri Jul 24, 2026 8:37 am After putting on my reading glasses, can you elaborate why is having to bring 20 players instead of 40 a negative thing on a small server? Or if I remember correctly, was it still 35 for Nax and Kara? You treat it as it is supposed to be obvious to everyone who reads it, but it certainly wasn’t for me.
And how does this huge downside balance against the desire of players to have as many guilds as possible with different leaders, so that they can find somewhere they feel comfortable?
So leveling needs restrictions, despite shortening it being what allows more players to join the pack of 60's to enjoy the game via raiding and even PvP... but you deserve more loot?Joyson wrote: Thu Jul 23, 2026 6:44 am Please change raid scaling so that it also scales the amount of loot the boss drops. If a boss drops 3 pieces of loot regardless of how many players fight it then the optimal strategy will be to abuse raid scaling down to as low as it can go with as few players as possible so that you are rolling against the least amount of other players possible for a piece of gear. No this is not an "option" to just run 20 players in a 40 player raid instead of bringing all 40 players, now its just a requirement to 20 man 40 player raids. And bringing more players suboptimal gameplay, whereas in vanilla the boss's health is static so you bring as many players as you can.

All in all, between this suggestion — which I'm not against because it makes some sense — and your bullshit on my post, it's pretty easy to come to the conclusion that you simply want more gear and want to outlevel other players for as long as possible, because fighting people on equal grounds be it levels or gear would demonstrate your inability to actually PvP.
Pretty sure you don't even play on the PvP server or you wouldn't have posted this, as the raiding situation is currently multiple guilds coming together to clear, or you do but the distribution hasn't favored you and feel left out.
This is a very transparent display of you wanting something that benefits your current situation — while refusing the same grace to others — due to your fear of being mediocre at best when the playing field is even.
I'd be making you do coffee runs for the entire firm with this kind of unexamined and cursory thinking.
