Greetings fellow Octos!
First off, I would like to apologize to all who've been waiting for this event.
Kestrel and I have been talking about a fun way to engage with the community for July and have decided we'd like to host a chance for all of you to show off your creative skills with a Fan Art Contest!
As we are a community driven fan project of a fan project we thought this would perfectly represent how we view our server community and the project as a whole.
This will be a month long contest, in which we ask all Octos with artistic capabilities to take a shot at drawing anything they'd like! This can be Vanilla/TWoW/OctoWoW things in any capacity. Your favorite vista, your player character, your least favorite GM, there really is no rules except that the submissions are appropriate as we hope to update the in game Art Gallery with our winners of this and all future art contests and share them with the community at large.
At the end of the month we will review all submissions and your design could potentially become immortalized in the Steamwheedle Gallery and website!

To keep things fair (and human) I have decided to lay a few ground rules.

• Traditional or Digital Art Only
• Must submit final submission via high quality scan or PNG
• All entries must be made by a human!
• Document your process!

We ask all submissions to include pictures of their process so we can confirm the human made rule, these must be submitted with your entry.

(Please include your main character's name and the server you're on so we can make sure proper players get credit)
Please feel free to post your finished works in this thread as well so the community can see, and cast their own votes!

We will have 3 winners!

1. 1000 Octo Coins
2. 500 Octo Coins
3. 300 Octo Coins

I would assume you can see it is hand (mouse) drawn

I tried giving you one but you could't hold it without fingers or thumbs so it fell out of the frame and the octo can't wield 2 handed hammers, only 8 handed weapons

Quick question, would it be fine to change the submitted art even if I already send out the email?

I don't think its an issue at all, infact I welcome people to make as many submissions as they'd like! (Sorry for late response, I took a day off. )

With this piece I sought to fully capture the Hardcore experience. Inspired by a previous competition held by the Turtle WoW devs, I have mustered all of my skills in MS Paint, Inkscape, and Google Images to produce this, my magnum opus.

Unfortunately we no longer have access to the submission email used initially.

In light of that, please email any submissions to OctoWoW@proton.me with the subject line "Art Contest". Please do re-submit to this email if you have already submitted to the previous email.

We do not have a timeline for when this contest will end as we want to be sure that we give adiquate time to allow for all necessary re-submissions, but will post an update once we have an end date!
