Dungeon boosting

Ok... so the rules to boosting have been reverted to what they were.

However, the dungeon boosting which doesn't create any issues for people trying to do quests as it's you & your friends/guildmembers/alts only was nerfed so heavily it currently gives either close to no xp (Stockades is 64 xp a mob for a lvl 22 player boosted by a 60) or 0 with mob tagging!

THAT IS NOT WHAT WAS AGREED UPON !

I have dozens of guild members joining at this stage of the game & we can't raid as we'd want to until they're lvl 60. A lot of comments on the discord and various larger guild forums (we communicate between us) are all the same... players are not coming to play Octowow for their "20th main grind to 60 on x1 without boosts" and this is even more true for the PvP server. The PvP discord is full of people asking for x2 as well ; humans are creatures of habit that will always take the path of least resistance and you just unilaterally attempted to change the habits of thousands of players.

If we wanted to play Classic we'd be on Blizzard servers.

Players want to raid and to PvP at lvl 60 with all their spells & gear... not get dunked on by some Twink that capped XP and has the BiS gear for the lvl ! Players leave or stop playing when they have to wait for friends to hit 60 to raid without being able to help them reach 60 — which is how many people spend their free time once they hit 60 — helping guild mates join them faster !

Patch 1.18 introduced major buffs to all mobs outside in inside dungeons & made content much harder than it was but it was intended for lvl 60 as most of the players were level 60 and fully geared for the majority of them. We have this on Octowow ; it's all the downsides without any of the good things.

Is the dev team tone deaf? We understood many of you — you even said it yourselves — are HC players and you can set things up however you want there... the rest of us want things as they were on Twow!

We already didn't get the promised transfers so this needs to be sorted out ASAP !

Not only THIS my friend, they have nerfed gold farm outside dungeon too, some valuable mobs now sharing respawns with no valuable ones in that same HC case i believe. Agreed with everything you said.

I stopped playing at WotLK because folks like yourself asked for nerfs for raid bosses because you couldn't clear the first few bosses of the content in HM. That's the game made easier; Dumbing down mechanics due to mouth breathing fire standers.

Nothing about XP makes the game easier at higher levels since there's... a maximum level and you can't go higher. The whole point of the game is playing PvP and raids at maximum level.

Most of us have family lives and have better shit to do than to grind for the umpteenth time. Your lot has shown to be the overwhelming minority in both discord and the forums via polls in both.

We've done this shit on Turtle already. Refrain from posting like a 12 year old.

tel'abim had 2x experience rates and as a result i played on the pve server, even though i wanted to play on a pvp server, because the pve server had 1x experience rates and felt more like vanilla and less like an insta 60 no effort lazy fun server for babies who are afraid of losing

Octowow wasn't designed to be "like Vanilla" it's literally mysteries of Azeroth with changed mechanics from lvl 1 to 60 and added gear/stats that didn't exist. You clearly weren't around Turtle WoW when tents were instant full rested xp.

Turtle has always made QoL changes in the direction of "enjoy the game not the grind".

retail has all sorts of quality of life features. like being able to pay $60 to instantly be max level. think about it, how much work would you have to do irl to pay for max level on retail? probably like 1 hour maybe 2 or 3 hours of work. compared to grinding out levels in wow? thats like days of /played, maybe 22 hours if youre on <Method>. why not just play retail? or why not just ask for paid level 60 boosts? for you, its quality of life to have 2x experience across the board on our pvp server. for me, 1x experience is the game. 2x experience is a baby boy crybaby insta 60 fun server level stupid.
