I don’t know guys. Some people can’t get their full tier sets or big items like bwl trinkets after 2 years of raiding because of how horrid the rng aspect of it can be. With how difficult it is to find even 20-30 adult people who are able to make it during a specific raid time, I still do not agree. You still have epic raids like naxx and Kara 40 that require a lot of people, as well as emerald sanctum with our current gear level.

I don't think there is a need to remove the feature as a whole.

The solution where More people = more loot seems like an "everybody wins" situation. No need to punish small guilds, but no reason to split 40 men groups either.

If you go as 40, you just increase the rng factor of receiving anything, so the fewer the better. That's not a healthy feeling on a game.

Joyson wrote: Thu Jul 23, 2026 6:44 am Please change raid scaling so that it also scales the amount of loot the boss drops. If a boss drops 3 pieces of loot regardless of how many players fight it then the optimal strategy will be to abuse raid scaling down to as low as it can go with as few players as possible so that you are rolling against the least amount of other players possible for a piece of gear. No this is not an "option" to just run 20 players in a 40 player raid instead of bringing all 40 players, now its just a requirement to 20 man 40 player raids. And bringing more players suboptimal gameplay, whereas in vanilla the boss's health is static so you bring as many players as you can.
So leveling needs restrictions, despite shortening it being what allows more players to join the pack of 60's to enjoy the game via raiding and even PvP... but you deserve more loot?
All in all, between this suggestion — which I'm not against because it makes some sense — and your bullshit on my post, it's pretty easy to come to the conclusion that you simply want more gear and want to outlevel other players for as long as possible, because fighting people on equal grounds be it levels or gear would demonstrate your inability to actually PvP.

Pretty sure you don't even play on the PvP server or you wouldn't have posted this, as the raiding situation is currently multiple guilds coming together to clear, or you do but the distribution hasn't favored you and feel left out.

This is a very transparent display of you wanting something that benefits your current situation — while refusing the same grace to others — due to your fear of being mediocre at best when the playing field is even.

I'd be making you do coffee runs for the entire firm with this kind of unexamined and cursory thinking.
im literally right and youre nitpicking because youre butt hurt about me responding to you
You're right on nothing at all so far — this isn't a bad suggestion as I stated in what you quoted which proves once again you can't read for shit. Your take on xp being the most asanine mudbrain crap doesn't change.

But I do agree with Veri’s take that if the raid scaling is 20, then if you bring 30 or 40 people you could rely on a higher number of items or higher drop chance of certain chased after items. I think that’s fair, but nerfing the drops for smaller guilds feels very odd to me because rng can be horrid and punishing for no reason and people don’t see some items for a very very long time. So to cut their chances to get them from what it is now feels unjustified.
