Functional Summon stones

we are all 30-75 years old, employed, have families, kids, vacations, many things going outside the game

The spirit of the game doesn't not lie any where near waiting hours at dungeons for people to arrive.
The only people unaffected by this are people who have way too much time on their hands.

I have discussed this with many people in discord, the only people who are against this are grosslings who haunt forums to keep Qol things from happening as just for the own sake of gatekeeping people.

I agree with this. Epoch has this and it works great. It doesn’t take anything from the game, it makes it much easier for ally and horde to do content together.

Biggest NO of my life. They're not going to do this and they shouldn't.

Again: Big No from me.
I too have a life, job, etc, nonetheless i'm highly against it.

Summoning Stones lead to lesser communication, even elitism by throwing out people who you simply dislike, cuz summoning someone new there would be easy with summoning stones.
Having a warlock in a group and be able to summon is a luxury.

Yeah one of the key parts of the classic vibe is needing to actually coordinate with players and talk to one another. The party's hike to the dungeon is absolutely part of the cozy adventure feeling.
Not to mention it takes away from the usefulness of Warlock Summons and Mage Portals.

As stated, a lot of people who enjoy turtle wow are older. I have 2 jobs, kids, and obligations! It’s nice to not have to waste so much time traveling to a dungeon. I agree with this

I don’t think it breaks the classic vibe but just my opinion.

But exactly with this Sentiment about "Not wasting time" you're playing the modern Community right into their hands. Cuz then it's all about the efficiency. And this Game shouldnt be about efficiency. It's at its core still Vanilla WoW, means there should be inconveniences.

I'm 50/50 on this. Although I'd slightly prefer to keep summoning stones disabled, It wouldn't bother me if they were allowed on pve realms. Reason being, I'm strongly against cross-faction grouping which is already enabled and summoning stones are highly accommodating to that feature. This is what makes this such a trivial debate. Some dungeons are unreasonably painful to reach for certain factions, like Scarlet Monastery for alliance or Deadmines for the horde. Summoning stones would solve the unfair travel penalties that players of the "wrong" faction are punished with without breaking the game. I don't think it's unreasonable to allow summoning stones for realms that have cross-faction enabled. In my opinion, cross-faction is a way bigger convenience hack than summoning stones could ever be.
