I do hear a really loud minority that seems to be too dense to understand Kestrel's simple points:
- Even though it's a PvP server, it's still the classic experience
- Not every decision is community-driven; find another server if you want instant 60
- This was a server-wide balance change regardless of the designed "leveling speed" for the PvP realm (although looking at the numbers it still seems to tip in favor of doing BGs)
The PvP realm population is growing slowly and steadily. Be patient. Slow change is good change. Besides, PvP realm (for one) is not even out of its diapers... figuratively speaking
Out of curiosity, what drawbacks do people see with having cross-realm BGs?
And finally; ^this^Zeniet wrote: Wed Jul 29, 2026 9:09 pm I think you are putting a lot of things into what a PvP server is and isn't. Are you actually assuming that all/the vast majority of players on PvP servers are only playing the server to play BG's? The core distinction between a PvP and a PvE server is that world PvP is enabled at all times on the PvP server, in game meaning that the faction war is alive. That's it. That's the entire difference between the two server types. That is also the reason many players pick PvP servers. Not to spend all their time in BG's, but because the world is much more intertwined.
Also out of curiosity, why can't the PvP server tag mobs outside?
