Go play Warmane. This isnt the server for you, RMT gets banned here.
Ok buddy, let's take a chill pill here. I see your point, but there are nuances here. But since reading poses a challenge, I'll try to keep it shorter.

(1) Yes, (indirectly) buying gold is cheating your way out of /played time. Just like boosting and buying donation items.
(2) ACTUALLY RMT Gold Buying causes inflation because of dedicated gold farmers. They also push normal players out of "farm spots". I don't see this happening with BoE donation items. You don't pay for "adding gold" into the economy.
(3) The revenue of this indirect "gold buying" funnels income and funding into the server, not out of it.

However, I know this is a controversial proposal, and I don't presume to know the long-term effects of this hypothetical change. But I suppose you do since you stoop to personal attacks and belittling.

PS: If you want to contribute with a meaningful and rational conversation. Try to articulate your logical thoughts and reasoning. Acknowledge which statements you (factually) agree or disagree with. Go into detail of why you disagree with specific points, or elaborate to what I might be missing.

People that play on this server generally *hate* gold buyers. One of the reasons many of us chose to call Turtle home is because they didnt allow that disgusting practice. There are a myriad of servers that let you leverage your real life money in game. Please go play on those servers instead of wanting one of the few outliers to change.

And again Im not reading your posts this isnt a debate. We ban RMT here. Period. End of story. You're wasting your time pushing for this. We have all heard the arguments in support of buying gold. Theres nothing new to add to the conversation.

One more time; there are a ton of servers set up that way. I feel strongly about this because there are so few decent servers that refuse to engage in this crap, I was so happy to find Turtle. I have basically no options while you have dozens. So go choose one of those servers to play on instead of advocating to ruin one the few outliers.

Basically this. Donation would become buying gold with extra steps. Absolutely not.

The stuff that is already in the shop has an indirect negative impact on the economy as is with everything that is not purely cosmetic (less bag boughts, less desirable tailors, less demand & gold sink on the repair bots, and less gold sink on the dual specs, so more inflation in the econ as a whole). At least the harm isn't too big and supports the server, but it is harm nonetheless.

If you want to use RL$ to get ahead in the game, go play retail. This is exactly why we're here and not on pay to win servers and games.

I agree with this. I think a radical change to remove the donation shop altogether, and make it subscription based (half price of Blizz for instance) would be the best. But that would probably gut the server.

So with this in mind, the negative impact of the donation rewards is an acceptable sacrifice to keep this server afloat. And more of these items, although with the negative impact, is by definition a proportionally net plus because it means increased revenue to server.

I'm actually on the flip side of this. Especially now with limited donation options of crypto. I wanna be able to buy some donation items with gold.

I would like to, as you say, remove the negative impact of the donation items. Convenient items should be removed, and mounts should be removed.

I think, if we're not becoming subscription based which would make for the better experience, the donation shop should only be pets, transmog that is exclusive to the donor shop (and in-line with the fantasy world), and lastly added character customization options.

Answer me this, if you think donor items shouldn't be BoE (because it's a cheat to skip have time by the seller with real money). Do you think boosting should be banned? And do you think it's a better idea being subscription-based or drastically pruning the donation shop?

With all due respect. You've written your piece. But if you're not bothered reading and having a intellectual rational conversation, please refrain from commenting more on this thread. Thank you.

No boosting, no shop, sub price is the best case possible. Second best is shop with cosmetics only. Third best is what we have now, convenience item with only indirect harm to the economy. Anything else is the path down to retail/gacha p2w trash, which is exactly what we're here to avoid.
