Just start a quick survey on pvp serv, I'm quite sure vast majority of pvpers are for a x2 xp.

All against it are mostly playing on pve serv and enjoy slow leveling.

We pvpers, just want blood, beef and yap as fast as possible. Not having x2 xp is just a big no for any pvper considering starting on that serv after previous Twow closure

Yes, and Im sure you would also all vote for a free 1000g delivered to your mail box. People constantly want things made easier, and thats what led to retail. I imagine you are on a Classic style server because you don't like retail? So please don't demand changes that push us in that direction.

Its not about the destination, its about the journey. That seems to be the philosophy that the devs are standing by and I'm glad they are doing that.

LOL on the acheivement poll comment. Yea get some better polls going and POST the results of them. How about only 2x for classes the server needs, like healers and tanks. Helps the server more.

You absolute chuds and these false equivalencies and slippery slope arguments. We ain't asking for 1000g, we just want to level faster so we can PvP and raid.

Just get it through your thick skull that we enjoy the game for different reasons. Leveling is a chore to us, and it's fine that you happen to love it. Stop trying to force us to play your way!

I've seen many people up for x2, some indifferent to the topic, and only few speaking against it. Those few always put arguments like 'it's vanilla so play it slow or go retail' and never have any real argument to back their views.

In short, you are the loud minority, not us.
And we are fully up for a server vote to prove it, if devs ever decided to make such a vote.

Why do you not consider it an argument, that I agree with the devs design philosophy (considering they have said no, to this) and that this design philosophy is in spirit with the vanilla experience. The experience that was eradicated with/post cataclysm due to zooming fast leveling, that could get you max level within a day or two, without the player realizing what any of the content they just progressed was about.

I'd put way more weight to that argument (which I consider legitimate) than the argument, as I understand it, which is a version of: "We are a few people of the 60 population that want more level 60 so our PvP experience is better. We want this fast [THIS IS A BETA SERVER] so increase xp gains on this server". You can call it an argument, and that's fine, but it seems more like a selfish wish for people who does not agree with the explicit design philosophy of the devs or of this kind of server. While I don't think 2x is the end of the world, and I would probably still play the server with it, since I consider PvP always on as a much more immersive experience that 1x and no WPvP, I would hate to do greyed out quest just to complete a story of a zone or questline, because the leveling pace was artificially inflated.
