Sudden FPS Drop

Hey
I am using HD patch, all of the tweaks from launcher
Sometimes game just goes from 240fps to 10, causing the whole PC to behave in 10 fps even after i alt+f4 from the game, so i need to restart my PC with a button
WoW is the only app that has this problems on my pc
Any help?

Experiencing the same issue and been trying to troubleshoot it. Im on a 37" ultrawide monitor so usually use mods to get the game to show in my screens native resolution. Thought it was due to an addon and possibly a memory leak, but I will try turning off the ultrawide mods and see if that goes away.

Strange that I haven't had thos issue till recently though. Like the last couple days. Otherwise leveling from 1-58 has had no issues

Same here - It happened 4 or 5 times last night while running Deadmines. Not fun.

Had to restart my computer every time. Noticed that I'm getting the message for Error #132 after logging off and quitting the game upon returning to the launcher. Is there a way to post the screenshot here?

Anyways, the comments on Error #132 lead me to think that it might be a memory leak.

I have exactly the same issue.... someone found a workaround or something? Its very annoying and happens a lot in dungeons. Whole party needs to wait for me to reboot time after time...

I just got a similar issue today, managed to find 2 fixes if this helps.
1 temporary fix is just turning my monitor off and on again, that got everything running smoothly again.
The other fix which did it for me was to disable Vsync. Before this the fps drop happens about 5-10m into the game, just managed to go over an hour completely fine.
Hope this helps

i have the same problem, i usually then press

ctrl win caps B

to reset the GC driver.

will take about 10 seconds til its back to normal, game will freeze or go black in that time.
its still not a permanent fix, but im working on that and will hopefully have a solution soon.
