ran it for the first time, only wanting to patch the game, and it updated my .dlls which i now don't know if are from the same sources as before, and also tried to install a bunch of addons i didn't previously have nor want
edit: just found the "ignore updates" toggles for mods specifically, but the same doesn't seem to exist for addons and i'd really rather not it try to install any new ones unprompted

Essential mods and recommended addons (marked with a star) are installed automatically because I consider them the baseline for playing the game. The idea is that a fully configured game client can be set up with a single click.

However, since several people have requested that this behavior be configurable, I've added an option in the Settings menu to control it.

Note that both mods and addons have a clickable link icon that lets you check their sources.

Do you have plans of updating this superior launcher? Just asking, no pressure. At this point I'm worried launching "official" download client will mess up my setup of addons and dlls

New version v1.3 has been released!

The Octo devs overhauled their download system last Friday and significantly changed the game files. I had to completely rewrite the download mechanism. Also added many new features.

Hey Rebazed, I have a missing/incorrect Tooltip on x1 Piece of Gear after installing using the Octoupdater.
Beastmaster Boots - Missing Tooltip (Equip: Increases damage dealt by your pets by 3%)

Ive tried disabling everything, all addons/mods, Ive resintalled Fresh from Octoupdater multiple times, tried different versions of Addons, Im pretty sure there is some kind of issue maybe on the updater end data?

Im pretty sure its got something to do with the Client Version or something because when I link the Item in game to other guild members who ALSO installed through octoupdater, they also are missing that specific part of the tooltip. Seems like something or not updated properly with that item specifically in the Client thats being downloaded

Any help would be appreciated thank you sir

UPDATE : Patch-O.mpq is the cause of the problem 100%, narrowed it down, and no matter what version of Patch-O I use, its causing that specific tooltip on that specific item to become obsolete, I believe the DBC files in Patch-O are not matching Octo's Client, or are in the wrong order or something

Patch-O (Raid Visuals) is optional and downloaded directly from the octowow.st server. It is developed by the OctoWoW team and not related to OctoUpdater. So any issues with patch-O hould be reported directly to OctoWoW devs.
