Since the last update, I've been getting a critical error. Error #132. My game won't open anymore. I've tried opening it both through the launcher and directly from the game folder, but I get the same error. And the same thing is happening to my friends.

Edit: I managed to fix it by going to the launcher > MODS and disabling dxvk v27.1-1. It's still giving me a few errors, but at least the game launched. That's something, at least.

This game is not gaming at all, great updates....

Please keep the game as it is, no more bullshit upgrades that 50 players want and 2000 players don't give a fuck about.

Wasn't it good enough with Twow ?! don't make us download shit that won't work please

I got the game working by doing the following:

*Download the new client from their website using the torrent (I used uTorrent for this)
*Download the new launcher from their website. Check that it refers to the location of the new client.

...then I:
*Copied over the content of the old Addon-folder to get the old addons back
*Copied over the 'Account'-folder from the folder 'WTF' to get the old keybinds back (make a backup if you want to)
*Set the Addon Memory Script to 0 to avoid addon-errors

...though there seems to be a bug related to the character portrait, specifically the custom hair styles not appearing.

I mean its working for most people. Client modifications in my eyes are necessary to play. They are making that process easier for everyone so that everyone has a better experience. Seems like there was a few hiccups, but this isnt something "50 players want" and if youve been playing an unmodified client you will legitimately be thankful once its working properly.

I would never have been able to raid on Twow without client modifications and just in general it makes your general experience with the game much smoother.

Here are a few reasons;

The unmodified client can only utilize 2gb of ram and will only utilize a single CPU core. In 2004 that was fine. In 2026 it is not.

The 2004 client also handled spell queues horribly requiring the server to essentially ping you once a spell finishes casting before you can cast another. Nampower fixes this and removes that unnecessary step and this legitimately can lead to a 20% damage increase if you have really high ping ( North America ) and it also just makes your spell casts feel much more smooth.

Theres a myriad of graphics processing fixes introduced as well, helping with resolution issues, multi monitor support, stuttering, and general performance.

If I had to use the unmodified client I legitimately wouldnt be able to play. I always strongly recommend friends and guildies to modify their clients and it isnt super complicated but its an extra hurdle-- and Ive had friends who started on Twow who quit immediately because of how bad the stock client feels and wouldn't give it a chance because they didnt want to download a bunch of third party tools to fix it. Im genuinely happy Octo did this and it will definitely help new player retention and make literally everyone's experience better.
