Holydruid is saying if the disconnect is short and not on his terms he should be able to reconnect directly to the battleground. He's not asking to be able to leave and join another battleground right away without consequences.
If anything the only way this could be abused is for win trading and reports exist precisely for that reason ; in fact holding a slot by disconnecting and reconnecting would be a graver offense than what already exists as a bannable offense — queue canceling.

My extremely clear point which you are somehow incapable of understanding is that someone could merely cause a disconnect and abandon a losing BG and then requeue for a different BG. It would completely circumvent the entire deserter debuff.

Its genuinely baffling to me that you couldn't connect the dots there.

And yes I will continue to have opinions about PVP. Stay on topic, troll.

Even in what you quoted... it's there. In plain text. You're genuinely both blind and dumb — it's now a fact.

Incredible... humiliate yourself more and more, Defiant.

You're allowed to have PvP opinions but on the part where it'd written PvE as this is the Y'Shaarj forum suggestion and not the Octowow overall PvP forum.

You're calling me a troll, when you have drool — googly eyes and a wooden club at this point.

You've failed to explain how what Ive said is incorrect.

Yes those are Holydruids intentions and as I said I agree with him. Im just explaining the unintended consequences of that change. It would ultimately make the entire deserter debuff pointless as anyone focusing on the honor grind could merely cause a disconnect to occur while in a losing Battleground and then requeue for another Battleground.

I don't think you guys understand how sweaty people get when pushing these types of grinds. If someone joins a BG and sees a losing team they could merely cause a DC then requeue in hopes of a better matching that favors them.

Ok you're just stupid. We all said it couldn't be abused — not only me — because it's as simple as:
  • you can only reconnect to the BG you got disconnected from and within a short time frame. Anything else results in deserter.
That was already detailed in my previous answer.

This is a dumb and dumber movie but you're playing both characters...

HE didn't get his way regarding segregating forums. They did that for whatever reason regardless of one person's opinion.

Just stop bashing each other and act like you speak on behalf of the entire one side of the community. Also, it's not productive to circle back around and repeat the same arguments over and over. You don't have to agree with each other. It's not serving the discussion and it's annoying for everyone else.
You know whats not productive? Intenionally using the wrong forum and trolling in it.
This is the PVP forum. Im giving feedback on PVP. You are harassing me. You are not a forum moderator. You are not a GM. You don't get to tell me where I can and cannot post. This change would clearly be shared across all servers and I shared what I viewed as a potential issue which is a form of constructive criticism. I acknowledged that the disconnect situation is frustrating and that I understand where he is coming from. I also tried to brainstorm ways that it could be implemented.

That isnt trolling. Its constructive criticism and thats the entire goal of these suggestion forums. Feel free to put me on ignore if you cant handle that, but I am posting in the appropriate forum right now. When you were spamming announcement threads pushing your opinions you were posting in the wrong forums. You were the one who caused the forum changes, not me, and I will continue to share my opinions on topics that will impact the PVE servers Battlegrounds. Again, feel free to put me on ignore.

I don't know how to say this in any simpler terms. I shared my opinion on what a *potential* issue could be. Do you understand the meaning of the word potential?

Yes I saw Holydruids post. I saw what you are quoting. Often when suggestions are made, the way that suggestion gets implemented doesnt match the suggestion 1:1. This could be due to technical limitations, or it could just be that the easiest way to fulfill the suggestion manages to accomplish the core of what the suggestion wants-- in this case not getting deserter from a disconnect. It might not be feasible for them to handle it the way Holy specifically recommended. So I brought up a *potential* issue.

Please stop spamming me with your vitriol, its getting downright creepy.

This isn't the PvP forum. This is the PvP realm forum.

Your so called brainstorming or constructive criticism was immediately ruled out and explained why by at least 3 people including myself with a very simple answer, yet you still failed to understand after reading and dared to ask if we could connect the dots when the literal reason it wouldn't and couldn't be abused was included. Bringing up kill switches for other games is just you going off topic when the solution is as simple as counting to 3 since 3 of us came to ask why you believed it could be abused because it's so damn obvious.

You have repeatedly shown an inability to read. You have been harassing us since the start — giving your input on things related to the PvP realm when you're a PvE realm player.

We were posting in the exact right place as the forums weren't split by realms.

Do you want to argue with Kestrel? Do look at this screenshot I've now posted almost five times because you're blind... this is the PvP realm forums not the Octowow PvP forums.

Once again this is NOT the general PvP suggestion sub-forum but the PvP REALM which in plain language translates to Y'Shaarj.

Stop being stupid.

Please yes. Game crashes occasionally due to memory issues and addon issues, this would be very nice for not ruining BGs.

Please also consider disabling BGs from closing without enough players. I'd rather get stomped then get denied a game.

Based.

Don't entertain them anymore. Let the trolls whine and complain.
