It seems like the patching itself may be prone to error -- absolutely nothing worked right after I patched the client, and after fairly heroic troubleshooting I got the game to load, and got into the world, but it was riddled with errors. Reinstalling from scratch, however, worked just fine with no issues.

On that note, would be a nice QoL if quests could be fixed over time so that when quests are abandoned/completed, all quest items are properly discarded from inventory. It's annoying when discovering you've had a quest item lingering in bags for an eternity, eating up valuable bag space

Downloaded client from torrent, checked mpqs, deleted some from my install (my *custom* mpqs are symlinked from outside the client directory anyway), backed up WoW.exe, copied some select stuff over from updated client folder. Bob's your uncle, Fannie's your aunt, your mum's your dad. Done.

Seems some people shouldn't be messing with game files if they don't know what they're doing - even if it's a 6K PC.

After i update the Launcer (2.5 gb) to Version: 1.18.1 (7272) i start wow join the world and after 3 secs everything is freezed always and wow just closed. Any help?

I got it to work fairly easily.

First uninstall Octo (keep Add-ons folder and Account if you want to have the same interface and keybinds).

Secondly get a fresh install of Octo.

In the launcher, deactivate dxvk.

Voilà!
