Suggestion: Improve AFK Enforcement and Consistency in Battlegrounds

I believe the current approach to handling AFK behavior in battlegrounds could benefit from review, as it has a noticeable impact on match quality and overall server health.

Over the last week, I submitted reports on more than 20 players, including video evidence. The upload statistics show that only a portion of those videos were viewed, which raises concerns about whether all submitted evidence is being reviewed consistently. Players are regularly encouraged to provide video evidence when reporting rule violations, so it would be reassuring to know that this evidence is being evaluated as part of the process.

Another concern is consistency in enforcement. Despite reporting multiple repeat offenders, I continue to encounter many of the same players exhibiting the same behavior in battlegrounds. This creates the impression that current penalties may not be acting as an effective deterrent.

AFKing and non-participation negatively affect everyone involved. It reduces match quality, frustrates players who are actively trying to compete, and can discourage participation in battlegrounds altogether. Over time, this can hurt the PvP community and the server's overall activity.

I would like to suggest reviewing both the enforcement process and the penalties for repeat AFK offenses. Clear and consistent action against repeat offenders would help improve battleground quality and demonstrate that the rules are being applied fairly and uniformly.

My goal is not to criticize individual GMs, but to encourage a discussion about how AFK enforcement can be made more effective and transparent for the benefit of the entire community.

It's even worse here than on Turtle WoW because many PvErs decide to join battlegrounds only for rewards, currently R6 gear is very strong pre-raid bis.

Yes, I think that rules should be more strict and enforced by GMs. To the point that if you need to go for a 2 min break, you have to type /afk. If there are no AFKers, game is usually more sweaty and interesting so new rules could benefit everyone. What I suggest is adding 6-24 hour deserter debuff to guy who was AFKing. It's not too harsh but very discouraging from AFKing ever again.
The devil is in the detail.

Earlier today, a GM informed me that a player I had reported, with video evidence provided, had received a 24-hour deserter penalty.

However, roughly two hours later, I encountered the same player in a battleground again. I have screenshots of the conversation, but my intention is not to criticize or single out any individual GM.

What I would appreciate is clarification from the developers or server administrators regarding the current policy and enforcement of AFK behavior in battlegrounds. From a player's perspective, the situation creates confusion and raises questions about whether AFKing is being actively punished and how those penalties are being applied in practice.
