1.18.1 deployment two electric boogaloo

We are excited (and a little nervous) to announce our second attempt at upgrading to the 1.18.1 client! As we are sure you know, the first attempt was not very smooth and was rolled back. Although we have a lot more faith this time around thanks to our new PTR, we still want to prepare the community for any instability during this rollout.

Because of this we are announcing that our website, game servers, and other services will be down for the upgrade on May 27th starting at 10PM UTC. We anticipate the services/servers being down 1-2 hours for the upgrade. That being said we want the community to be prepared for some instability the 8-24 hours following this upgrade. It is our recommendation that any hardcore players be extra careful during this time and be sure to record (whole screen not just window) in case you die to a bug or issue.

Oh and given the volume of downloads, if you have a 1.18.1 client handy you may want to drop it in your dir manually if you know how/where to. Hope to see you all on the 1.18.1 client very soon!

Best of luck. In any case, if it does not work out on 27-28th, please dont rush the updates, let's give devs enough time to make it playable and enjoyable. The last try was a bit of a disaster . Crossed fingers, hoping everything goes well .

Will there be feedback regarding the bugs reported in the tracker? There is not that many, 70 as of now, with a few duplicates or irrelevant ones. Would be nice to just receive basic comment like an ETA for the fix, or even just to say that it's been noted and added to the backlog for fixing.

Yeah we do hope to get feedback incorporated into it at some point, preferably a place where we regularly post comments from the devs on what we find when looking into the bug if it is not fixed. The whole feature is still a work in progress though and not quit finished. I would consider it in a bit of a beta state itself as we still iron out some issues. <3 thank you!
