Alright so upon further research, Ravencraft routes to Capy. It would NOT suprise me if this is CAPY/RAVEN doing the DDOS attacks. I tried holding reservations but at this point it is clear. Raven is ''running fine'' with it's whopping 400 player launch and end game vendors. Capy/Raven sucked and failed now it's just lashing at Octo most likely at this point.

This sort of thing used to happen to warmane 7 years ago, and they ended up having to upgrade their network infrastructure for better DDoS protection.
I've spent a few hours looking through posts and it looks like raven are claiming that they were ddos'd within the first few hours of opening. I think the million dollar question is, 'who's doing it.'

I dobut. they were up and running fine. I popped on their server at launch and it was stable for most of the time, never really pushing 300 players (using .s info). Unless there's proof, mindless running in is retarded.

Did hear a schizo idea that Raven is capycode, just bought from the Chinese. Wouldn't be surprised if that was true considering they had the farewell fair still enabled. But its ewhatever

Seconding this. I am tired of schizophrenic conjecture and just want an answer with proof

For past while now it seems to be on and stable as the storm has ended. Alot of speculation and conclusions drawn however we got to await for further information on the what and who. At this point the server would have to double down on DDoS protection at probably at the cost of some delayed content. Most importantly alot of the people here who has committed alot of work on their toons has been able to retain which is good.

Octo will endure it seems and things will continue rolling.
