Jewelcrafting Tools

The first tool that you will need is a Jewelers Kit you can get from a Jewelcrafting Supplier for 2s.

The next tool that you will need is Jewelry Lens. The recipe is sold from any Jewelcrafting Supplier and requires 125 Engineering to make. Below are the mats you need to make them from an engineer with the recipe.

• 2x Bronze Bar, 2x Bronze Tube, 1x Medium Leather, 1x Silver Contact, 1x Lesser Moonstone.

The next tool that you will need is a Precision Jewelers Kit. The recipe is sold from Ranik the trade supplier in Ratchet and requires 175 Engineering to make. Below are the mats you need to make them from an engineer with the recipe.

• 1x Gyrochronatom, 1x Iron Strut, 3x Bronze Framework, 3x Whirring Bronze Gizmo, 1x Jewelers Kit (Warning!!!! DO NOT USE UP YOUR ONLY JEWELERS KIT ON THIS CRAFT)

The next tool that you will need is a Jewelry Scope. The recipe is sold from Gonzo Snaphands the Jewelcrafting Supplier in Steemwheedle Port and requires 225 Engineering to make. Below are the mats you need to make them from an engineer with the recipe.

• 2x Mithril Tube, 1x Gyrochronatom, 4x Mithril Casing, 1x Citrine, 1x Fusing Wiring

Artisan Jewelcrafting

You can only train Jewelcrafting past 225 if you learn Artisan Jewelcrafting. Not every Jewelcrafting trainer will teach you this skill, you have to find a Artisan Jewelcrafter.

You can learn Artisan Jewelcrafting from Fanzy Sparkspring in Tanaris at Steamwheedle Port. (She's standing right outside the General Goods store where Jabbey is.) You need to be level 35 or higher and level 200 Jewelcrafting.

Pick up the Recipe for Blue Starfire at the Jewelcrafting Supplies vendor. The name is Gonzo Snaphands.

At this point I would just craft pieces of other gear/jewels you can find via recipes and craft them. Plenty of gems you can find will give you level ups at this point. Or if you go gold smithing plenty of rings that people need will give you level ups. Do not go for the Pendant of Arcane Radiance. Its a waste of money and resources to do this!

Goldsmithing Specialization

You can choose one of the specializations, goldsmithing or gemology, upon reaching a skill level of 225 and character level 40. The name of this NPC for horde is Gulmire Fartower in Undercity. The name of this NPC for alliance is Mayva Togview in Ironforge

Next is to go to Jarkal Mossmeld in the Kargath inn.

Then Jarkal will give you three quests.

• 20x Solid Gritted Paper, 10x Rough Gold Ring for one quest.

This will be 80 Silk Cloth, 80 Solid Stone, and 20 Gold Bars for this quest.

• 5x Emberstone, 5x Aquamarine, 5x Citrine for another quest.

Last quest is to get a book from the custom turtle dungeon Gilneas City.

The book is in a room in the picture below.

Desolace is the next location the quest brings you to.

Next you need to get an Ancient Elven Jeweler's Kit from the Wet Bag object next to the beach right on the shore below the tower.

The next set of quests will have u on a crafting spree.

First quest requires 2x Ornate Mithril Scepter and 2x Alluring Citrine Choker. This quest unlocks the ability to craft Staff of Gallitrea which you will need to craft to learn Goldsmithing.

Second quest we are going to do requires you to craft 1x Crystal Earring and 2x Shimmering Gold Necklace. This quest unlocks the ability to craft Elaborate Golden Bracelets which you will need to craft to learn Goldsmithing.

The third quest we are going to do requires you to craft 1x Dazzling Aquamarine Loop and 2x Jade Harmony Circlet. This quest unlocks the ability to craft Heart of the Sea which you will need to craft to learn Goldsmithing.

This is the list of raw materials you will need for the 4 quests. The three listed above and the final quest to attain Goldsmithing.

That is the end of the Goldsmith specialization. The Artificer will give you recipes that you can only get from Goldsmithing.

Goldsmithing Recipe Drops

As I get more information on the rare recipes that drop I will put them here just like the Gemology Recipes below.

Gemology Specialization

You can choose one of the specializations, goldsmithing or gemology, upon reaching a skill level of 225 and character level 40. The name of this NPC for horde is Gulmire Fartower in Undercity. The name of this NPC for alliance is Mayva Togview in Ironforge

Next is to go to Thegren in Badlands.

Then go to the east of Ruins of Corthan and kill a giant called Boreghast. Loot the item he drops.

The next quest is to craft 3 items five times that the previous quest gave you recipes for.

• 5x Sharpened Citrine Gemstone
• 5x Radiant Ember Gemstone
• 5x Glowing Ruby Gemstone

In total the raw mats you will need are as follows:

135 Silk Cloth, 135 Heavy Stone, 5 Citrine, 15 Gemstone Oil, 5 Lesser Mystic Essence, 5 Star Ruby, and 5 Emberstone

The next quest is to kill Landslide from Mauradon and retrieve the slab from his body.

The next quest has you perform a Final Test. He will give you Thegren's Box. Which has three items in it. You need to use Silken Cloth then Thegren's Gritted Paper then you can get Perfect Lifeblood Gem.-

Gemology Recipe Drops

Gemology I Top and Bottom drops from the listed boss/objects below

• Top Half: LBRS the scroll in the room right next to War Master Voone
• Bottom Half: BRD Emperor Run from killing Emperor Dagran Thaurissan

When you combine these two Gemology I Top and Bottom you get the recipe for the below Gemstone for +6 Str

Gemology II Top and Bottom drops from the listed boss/objects below

• Top Half: Hateforge Quarry the scroll right next to High Foreman Bargul Blackhammer
• Bottom Half: In Scholomance drops from Darkmaster Gandling

When you combine these two Gemology II Top and Bottom you get the recipe for the below Gemstone for +3 Stats

Hard as Diamonds also drop from Lower Blackrock Spire / Blackrock depths trash.
