Can't enable Warmode for already existing character

Is there a way to enable Warmode for a character that already exists?
At least, for my rogue "Blame".

I didn't enable it on the character's creation screen, because I was sure that I'll be able to do it later.
On Turtle, we could enable\disable Warmode in any moment via battleground masters.
On Octo it became a challenge and can't no longer be disabled until 60 lvl. It is ok.
But also on Octo we could ENABLE it via battleground master (I did it earlier with my other toon), but now I can't.

I'm pure PvP-player that planning to level up via BGs, and this situation is kinda frustrating.
I asked a GM to do it, but he could not help.

It was not obvious that Warmode will not be available, unless you turned it on with creation of a character (considering how it was done on Turtle).

Help me to turn it ON, please

this is so confusing.

you could disable warmode once, and idk about enabling it once after character creation.

it is a challenge. obviously you should not be able to disable/enable it at any time.

it sounds like you have it confused with pvp enabled.

you want warmode bonus inside BG, but no warmode bonus outside BG?

i managed to find words for this..
