LFG posts and guild ads in world chat

World chat gets spammed with LFG messages and guild ads. There is a separate channel for lfg that some people dont know about. Maybe you could add a line about joining the lfg channel into the welcome message? Could we also get a separate channel for guild ads please?

They spam trade with them too. A Guild Recruitment channel wouldn't go amiss, but I'm pretty sure people will continue to spam their ads into all the other channels anyhow.

I agree. Sure, make those LFG / Guild Recruitment channels more visible.

But the way to fix it is to give harsh mute punishments to player infractions (after one warning).

every new player is automatically put into guild recruitment channel.

there is no excuse to use any other channel.

every experienced player know how to find a guild and don't need to be advertised for it on all channels.

trade offers and guild ads on lfg channel is a quick journey to my ignore list. as is spamming HR runs and general obnoxious behaviour on channels.

world chat is permanently off. naturally. idc what happens there, its an all purpose channel.

maintaining immersion is not so difficult with a little effort. however, new character have to go through all of it again. i'd rather see stricter channel moderation. mistakes happen, but continued offense begs for harsher penalty than just a mute. 48 hour ban is more like it.

they have already chosen to abuse the chat system, why should everyone else suffer?

I don't mind stricter punishments like temporary bans. However long mutes ought to teach them as well
