Why not, why not add bonuses to PvP gloves? For Mages and Warlocks:
+50 % resistance to cast interruption polymorph and fear.
(What are your ideas for other classes?)
If we are not considering the balance issues that it will cause and just talking of OP things that we would like to have, I suggest 5 seconds stun with 25% proc chance on melee and ranged hits with normal attacks and abilities for huntersBrwcht wrote: Sat Aug 08, 2026 6:50 am Why not, why not add bonuses to PvP gloves? I don’t think stuns are needed, everything is already very good for hunters in this regard.Duraluminium wrote: Sun Aug 09, 2026 9:30 amIf we are not considering the balance issues that it will cause and just talking of OP things that we would like to have, I suggest 5 seconds stun with 25% proc chance on melee and ranged hits with normal attacks and abilities for huntersBrwcht wrote: Sat Aug 08, 2026 6:50 am Why not, why not add bonuses to PvP gloves? This could be called a bonus if it didn’t cost mana for 285 damage absorb.Okidoki wrote: Sun Aug 09, 2026 4:18 am The thing I would change for mages is the bonus that increases the amount of damage a mana shield absorbs. In many situations it's even bad to have it, as you don't want it to drain all your mana.
I like your suggestion, it would be a good replacement for the current mana shield "bonus"

When I’m attacked simultaneously by a BM hunter and his pet, I cast Polymorph for 10 seconds and finish casting with 20% HP. Probably, it’s normal. At the same time, I don’t receive any special attacks that interrupt the cast.
Yes, that's exactly my point. It's just an alteration of an ability, not a clear bonus.Brwcht wrote: Sun Aug 09, 2026 12:56 pmThis could be called a bonus if it didn’t cost mana for 285 damage absorb.Okidoki wrote: Sun Aug 09, 2026 4:18 am The thing I would change for mages is the bonus that increases the amount of damage a mana shield absorbs. You are wrong in assuming TWoW came up with this. Blizzard did, 21 years ago. Noone really knew that much about PvP back then. The problem is that TWoW just copied these set bonuses, and now OctoWoW did. However, I have to say the 1.5 seconds smaller Blink CD is a good bonus. It checks both boxes for me: No pure stats, and you have to gauge how good the bonus actually is for what you do. I feel like it's a pretty helpful bonus. In many situations you want to blink asap again or it just gives you a wider window of playBrwcht wrote: Sun Aug 09, 2026 12:57 pm The 1.5‑second blink cooldown is completely unclear where this number comes from. I think some unique TW PvP developer haven’t eaten or drunk for several days and calculated the timings and found that in certain situations, a mage just doesn’t have enough time for PvP — 1.5 seconds is just right. So, did you believe that someone was actually working on this at TW? Ha‑ha, it was a joke. Of course, the 1.5 seconds were just made up out of sheer nonsense.
Listen carefully: the bonus is 50% protection against cast interruption, but only for polymorph. What are we arguing about? I can’t use polymorph on a BM hunter — he’s immune. Better offer the hunters a normal bonus for gloves than argue about nothing.Duraluminium wrote: Sun Aug 09, 2026 4:10 pmOh let's not even start this xDBrwcht wrote: Sun Aug 09, 2026 12:47 pmI don’t think stuns are needed, everything is already very good for hunters in this regard.Duraluminium wrote: Sun Aug 09, 2026 9:30 am

BM hunters are kinda good now, but as resilience is not shared with pet, and pets receive no incoming damage reduction from pvp dampening, BM hunters fall behind very fast in the later phases. Even now some shamans kill my pet with 2 hits.
But forget about BM, let's focus on CC breaking abilities.
BM got pet immunity to CC + 3 sec stun with 1 minute cd, and it's fine.
Both MM and Surv got no ways to break casts, except maybe FD, that kinda does that, but only for offensive spells vs hunter and 30 sec CD. Also the caster can immediately start casting after FD again.
So the only way for hunters to delay casts is to hit mage or warlock fast enough. And your proposal removes even that 'option'.
Tbh this whole conversation should start not with 'Let's add some OP effect to some item', but with 'Let's do a comprehensive analysis of the PVP balance on Octo and see, what things needs to be nerfed or buffed'. And maybe in the end of it there will be a place for additional effects on the gloves.
Hunter is not immune to poly. Only pet is, and only for a limited amount of timeBrwcht wrote: Mon Aug 10, 2026 8:44 am Listen carefully: the bonus is 50% protection against cast interruption, but only for polymorph.
