Bug - Always auto-looting

Since the last launcher update my character is suddenly auto-looting everything. Removed all addons and disabled the option in the launcher ... still the same problem. Sooooop annoying ...

Auto-loot is enabled whether the option is checked in the launcher or not.

I have tried a WDB and WTF deletion. I have tried switching the option on in the launcher to see if it does the opposite (it does not). I have tried a completely fresh install after purging any and all elements of the game from all my drives. Barring the mailbox tweak, I have no mods installed at all.
