Hi OctoWoW team,
we are a family of three people trying to play OctoWoW together from the same household, using three separate PCs and three separate game accounts. Each account is controlled by a different person. This is not multiboxing.
We were hoping to play together as a family, and in particular I wanted to finally introduce our 7-year-old son to World of Warcraft. I imagined that as a magic moment...
Unfortunately, we are now unable to log in. The symptom is always the same:
After entering the correct password, the client immediately shows:
**“Disconnected from Server”**
At first, at least one of our accounts/PCs was still able to connect, while another account received the immediate disconnect. After further testing, none of the PCs/accounts seem able to connect anymore.
Could you please check whether our accounts, household connection, or linked-account / anti-abuse / anti-multiboxing status has accidentally been flagged or locked?
### Affected game accounts
---> names removed after it is clear it was due to the DDOS attack
These belong to three different family members and are played independently on three different computers.
It would be especially helpful if you could check the **actual authentication/game-server state** of the accounts, rather than only whether they appear as “Active” on the website.
Thank you very much for having a look.

## Appendix — troubleshooting already performed
We tried to isolate the problem before opening this thread.
### Account / PC cross-testing
* The affected account fails on its normal PC.
* The **same affected account also fails on another PC**.
* The password is known to be correct.
* An account that had previously worked was also tested on the problematic PC and failed there.
* Eventually the previously working PCs/accounts also stopped being able to connect.
This made it difficult to attribute the problem to one specific PC or one specific account.
### Separate internet connection
We tested the affected account using a **mobile internet connection**, separate from our home internet connection.
Result:
* Still immediate **“Disconnected from Server”** after entering the password.
So the problem does not appear to be limited to our normal household public IP.
### VPN
We also tested using **WireGuard VPN**.
Result:
* No improvement.
* Login still ends in **“Disconnected from Server”**.
### VanillaFixes
VanillaFixes was disabled/removed for testing.
Result:
* No change.
* The login problem remained.
### Launcher
OctoLauncher is current:
* Launcher version: **1.3.7**
* Client version reported by launcher: **1.18.1 (7272)**
The launcher starts WoW normally and does not log a crash when the disconnect occurs.
### Website / DNS / HTTPS connectivity
On one affected PC:
`Resolve-DnsName octowow.st`
resolves successfully to:
`185.XXX removed after it is clear it was due to the DDOS attack
`Test-NetConnection octowow.st -Port 443`
returns:
`TcpTestSucceeded : True`
A direct HTTPS request using:
`curl.exe -v https://octowow.st/`
successfully establishes TLS and receives:
`HTTP/1.1 200 OK`
So general DNS and HTTPS connectivity to octowow.st works from the PC.
There is also:
* no `octowow` entry in the Windows hosts file
* no configured WinHTTP proxy
### Port 3724 test
We also tested:
`Test-NetConnection octowow.st -Port 3724`
on two different PCs.
Both returned:
`TcpTestSucceeded : False`
We also tried:
`Test-NetConnection 185.XXX removed after it is clear it was due to the DDOS attack
which failed as well.
We understand that this may **not be conclusive**, because we do not know whether the current OctoWoW authentication infrastructure still exposes TCP 3724 directly on those addresses.
### Home network
The three PCs naturally share the same public IPv4 address because they are behind the same household router.
Internally they use separate local addresses and are separate physical computers.

Given the combination of:
* three distinct accounts,
* three distinct PCs,
* account cross-testing,
* mobile internet testing,
* VPN testing,
* VanillaFixes removal,
* working DNS/HTTPS connectivity,
we suspect there may be a **server-side account / linked-account / authentication / anti-abuse flag** involved.
Could a GM please check the three accounts and see whether something has been automatically locked or associated incorrectly?
Thank you.
