Mandatory addons? Connection issue

Hi there, been playing here since the beginning and I'm still getting the very same issue with false positives on mods such as nampower, vanillahelper, vanillafixes and unitxp.dll
(I've been reporting this since May 6th https://octowow.st/forum/viewtopic.php?t=129 ).

Never managed to solve the issue. My antivirus won't whitelist the dlls, don't know why. I didn't know what to do but deactivate mods. I've been updating the game from the launcher, but launching the game from wow.exe. Played like that since today.

Now the game automatically downloads the mods, but this stops my client from even connecting to the server (because of firewall or something). Tried re-downloading, didn't work.

Any help? ty

Today, the servers are going down repeatedly. There are reports of DDOS...
All to say - today's not the day to troubleshoot this brother. Sorry for the bad news. =(

Those will always be flagged as false positives. Theres no way around it other than setting a whitelist for your entire installation folder. I had to do this back on Turtle as well, and so I've just continued using that same folder with the existing whitelist on it.

This guide should cover it.
