Ninja Looting is ALLOWED! (with proof) (confirmed by GM)

Hello, players of OctoWow!

Did you know that apparently ninja looting is completely fine?

I was playing Stormwrought Ruins with a party, and [Pants of Forgotten Ages] drops, a healer item.
Our DPS paladin (which was prot spec for some reason) rolls Need and wins it over our healer.
Image
(Our party was full cloth besides the healer, and the one DPS paladin)

So naturally I opened up a ticket to get this issue resolved, and get the healer their pants.
And the answer I received from the GM surprised me, and it will probably surprise you too:
Image
"If no loot rules were established before the run began, this is considered a player dispute and Support cannot intervene"

Naturally, the party disbanded immediately after, because no one wanted to keep playing with a ninja.

So hit Need every time, unless someone says "don't ninja loot" and has a screenshot to back it up, because you are allowed!
(I didn't think I'd need to clarify, but this is FIGURATIVE speech)

PS: If you can't read the text in the screenshots, here are the direct links:

Moral of the story: Only play with your guild and or friends

They arent heal pants tho, they have spelldmg and healing. Dps rolling as tank is weird, also they can be a upgrade for dps if his pants are ass(spell retri is a thing so technicly i could argue healer tried to ninjaloot em). Im not sure how i feel about this. But ur missleading with calling em healing pants.
I must say its weird a gm claiming ninja looting is basicly okey if u dont say dont ninja loot.
But unsure this should be considerd as ninja looting.
Tdlr i wont be partying with you for sure tho seeing u dont understand what items are for what role.

I specified in my post that the other DPS were cloth and therefore couldn't need on a mail item, which obviously means this item would be then priority for a healer like the holy paladin in the group, who got ninja'd by a PROT PALADIN who queued as DPS (so not even retri like you suggested) which isn't his role anyway, suggesting that the healer would be ninjaing in this situation is absurd.
And as I can see you've completely ignored the important details of his argument for "needing" the pants, here is further evidence substantiating my claim: Image

But that's all besides the point, I urge you to direct your attention to the staff response!
And also, I am glad you won't be playing with me, I am grateful for that
I also hope you stick to this opinion when someone wrongfully takes an item that you should've had.

Seeing u clearly didnt read the item ill link it for you https://octowow.st/db/?item=58189 . This is a spelldmg mail item. Retri can use this for dmg. This is more a dps/tank pants then a healer pants. But seeing he qeued as dps that aint a argument. And dps paladin scales with spelldmg. U do realise +healing without dmg on it exists in vanila right?
Tdlr both needing seems fine for this pants if its a upgrade.

You pretend to be some detailed reporter but the clickbait title is on a level of pulp fiction.

The facts are you put regular loot rules without any prior agreements who's going to roll on what, you grouped up with random people which has a certain risk and then when you didn't get the result you wanted from a GM you make a public post to discredit the realm and its staff.

I'm a GM as well and would have done the same as my colleague.

Nothing is clickbait when you can see the GM making clear that ninja looting is acceptable in the screenshots. You doubling down on this is embarassing

Ill qoute rules for you because u didnt read em,
"Agreed upon loot rules must be followed for the duration of an instance. In LFT, group loot will be treated as the agreement."
But pls explain why the healer was needing a tank pants while a tank paladin was in the group? Because if something of this post would be considerd ninja looting its more likely its the healer doing it then the tank one signing as dps?

Weird, first you argued the pants were for retri and now you're arguing that they're for tank, were you the one who needed them? you don't seem to make up your mind. Anyways, literally who cares about the pants in the first place, it's clear that the whole point of this post is to show a gm admitting that ninja looting is acceptable lol

Nah its about u trying to frame someone while healer ninjad tank/dps pants on a need roll. (And i didnt see it was sub lvl 40 so i excluded it as maintank spec because plate, but you cant plate yet at that lvl making it clearly tankitem at first place)
