Launcher Issues

As part of our ongoing efforts to harden ourselves against these DDoS attacks we had to relocated and block off many of our endpoints, one of these was the launcher update endpoint. For those that upgraded their launcher to 1.3.8 prior to those endpoints being blocked, you should be fine.

For anyone having launcher issues you likely were not able to upgrade your launcher before those endpoints where closed. You will need to redownload a new version of the launcher from our website to get the most recent version. Thank you again for your patience as we work through this.

I did this but it just says cannot close octowow launcher (even after restart). So new launcher will not install even with defender off.

Yes, that's correct. You'll have to download the new launcher client from the web site, not by updating the old one.
