A response to "Twinks ruin Pvp"

I've been reading some version of "Twinks ruin pvp" for about two decades now, and just wanted to share my experience playing here on Octo and on TWOW specifically.

On both servers I play a 39 night elf feral druid. On both servers I have/had no characters higher than level 39.

On TWOW with full buffs (booze, food, elixirs, zg world buff, dmf stam buff, 60 priest stam, 60 druid motw, kings) I was able to get over 8k HP in bear form. So far on Octo I've made it up to 7.79k HP.

My gear on both is amazing for the level. I have all my professions 300/300. I fish, herb and chop trees in high level areas (55-60) on my level 39, and the profits from doing so bankroll the operation.

My point being, anyone can twink. You don't need a level 60 farming gold for you to be able to do it. Which to me means when I hear, "twinking ruins pvp!" that just translates to "people who take the time to get the best gear and enchants are better than players who CHOOSE not to do that!" which isn't a very hot take.

If you wanna queue 30-39 BGs at lvl 31 with 800 HP, it's not my fault you're not having a good time.

Maybe instead of trying to entice the dev's to do something to stop twinking (what would this even mean?? anyone with good gear just can't queue or something?), turn off XP at 39 (or whichever bracket you want to play) and take a few days acquiring best in slot gear and enchanting it. Might take you a week or so and then you'll be having way more fun in BGs and contributing to a way more fun and competitive bracket.

By that you are forcing players to adapt to your specific playstyle. People like you are completely destroying lowlevel pvp for regular players. Which are btw the majority. It is always the tryhards that destroy the fun in pvp. Most people completely skip lowlevel pvp bc of that.
It is always the same. Some niche humans with idiotic ideas taking up space from people that just wanna play the game. Only to give you this sense of feeling special for a tiny moment. Seriously: Get a life.

And clearly I am not "destroying the fun" of most players, because BGs in 30-39 on Octo are lit, they are very active when we're not being DDOSed.

Like my post said, getting best in slot gear on a level 39 does not take long at all, it's not super hard, and it can be done without a higher level main farming gold to pay for enchants/gear.

So again, it just sounds like you're complaining that you're not being rewarded for putting in minimal effort.

Maybe PVE is more your speed? I'd recommend questing or maybe dungeons. Those aspects of the game were more designed for a wider general audience vs pvp which was designed for people with a more competitive nature.

Maybe you're just not cut out for this more challenging aspect of the game?

I never said that low effort would be the alternative. We want EVEN matches. We want FAIR matches. This creates hard matches. By playing like you play YOU are taking the advantage and reduce the chances of an even match. You are the problem, by forcing everyone to gear up and level to 39 (instead of queuing earlier).
You are creating for yourself this instant gratification by giving you an extreme advantage. You destroy the challenge. You create for yourself easy wins. Because this is all you want. You dont want a real challenge. If this would be what you are after, then you would queue your shittly lowlevel pvp without a twink.

I will explain it again in one sentence and if you dont understand im out.

This alienates the playstyle because most players just level and gear up on the way and not prepare like you for your battlegrounds at 39. Players can choose to join BGs at whatever level they want, I don't force them to do anything. Players can also enter raids when they hit 60 at any gear level they want. They can try to main tank BWL with trash greens, but they're probably not going to have a good time doing so.

And again, I am not completely destroying BGs for casual players, casual players join low level BGs all day every day, so that is simply factually not true.

"braindead logic", I think you're just having an emotional reactions to getting beat in a video game, these kinds of temper tantrums are pretty common, and don't make the speaker seem very convincing to me.

"Kill me please. What the fuck." You really shouldn't be this emotionally invested in this conversation.

Instead of whinging here, why not give twinking a shot? It would probably only take you about a week to get it setup, its very simple and low effort, and then you can get the true low level pvp experience.

Also, boy, you're gonna have a real surprise when you try AV for the first time at lvl 51 and face off against a Grand Marshal.

That's okay bro, literally no one is sitting around worried that you personally are not doing low level pvp because of players like me. The low level BGs are lit, and pop instantly, all day (when not being DDOSed)
