appeal ban

I genuinely don't understand this ban. I received zero warnings or explanation, despite being muted for only 1–2 hours for World Chat trolling just two months ago.
If the issue was my World Chat behavior, why suddenly jump from a short mute to a ban without any warning? The enforcement feels extremely inconsistent.
If this is about the word “fag”, I literally explained at the time that “fag” means “subject/field of study” in Norwegian, which is what I meant.
I'd just like to know exactly what I was banned for and have the ban reviewed.

"I had no warning despite being muted two months ago" lmao dude that was your warning. You knew exactly what you were saying and the hateful context of it. There is a warning every session that says keep hate out of world chat. Absolutely deserved imo.

So you're seriously claiming that a 1–2 hour mute from two months ago automatically counts as a warning that my next offense could be a ban? Where was that ever communicated? A generic “keep hate out of World Chat” message is not an explicit warning that the next incident means a ban.

Given you have received a formal warning and 5 mutes (slowly escalating from 5 minutes to 24 hours), I think a ban was the obvious next step.

The specific line that triggered this ban was "Hitler was more correct tha 99% of politicians today ngl". This is an obvious violation of the chat rules.

What doesn't make sense is that these mutes were spread out over a long period with no indication they were going toward a ban. If old mutes remain on my record forever, why wasn't I told that another offense could result in a permanent ban? This is an obvious flaw in your moderating. You are bringing up ancient history to make a case, it is not logical at all. I wasn't praising Hitler or promoting Nazism; I was making an comparison to criticize modern politicians. If the issue was simply mentioning a controversial political figure, then say that clearly. The only thing that was against the TOS was bringing up politics, but that was the main topic at that point, so you might as well mute all those people as well to keep it fair.

Even if there will be Churchill, not Hitler, start playing here meant accept and agreed with rules, which says:
"Discussion of politics, religion, or other controversial matters or figures. Keep the politics exclusively Azerothian!"
If someone can't read, understand and accept rules after 5 mutes... ban is great decision.

If you continuously keep getting punished for an action in increasing fashion, 2 combined brain cells would tell you that that behavior is a problem and that the punishment will continue to escalate. The only flaw is in you not taking the most obvious of hints and course correcting.

Yeah... that is against the rules and you should know that by now.

I don't usually get involved in ban appeals, but I think a permanent ban for this, a punishment on par with RMT, is way too harsh
