Honestly, the way I see things, the DDOS attacks is starting to sound shady considering some players can log back in after a handful of attempts, while others not so much. I would avoid trying to get on for a while until this clears up. After all, what players are whitelisting might not be a false positive.

Obviously, not going to make assumptions but it's starting to get a tiny tad bit too fantastical on why individuals would go out of their way to DDOS a private server. After all, where was this energy for turtle wow before it got shutdown? What makes octowow a special case? Unless it's less of a ddos and more trying to get people to turn on the application and press the login button a number of times to get that malware to turn on. (again not making assumptions but this is the kind of hook the devs haft to nip in the bud at some point if their legitimate).

One of the main reasons Turtle didn't have these ddos issues is due to them using Cloudflare as a provider. Cloudflare (unlike flokinet) is under US jurisdiction and will comply with any subpoenas/cease and desists related to providing support for Octo. There are actually plenty of statements made on the announcement board explaining the situation if you care to read it.

so does octowow have a security system set up and now it is just trying to wait again for an update to stop protecting the log in servers so much while maintaining the regular DDOS protection? I am so confused about how this is happening. Are they making excuses or are they actually almost done with fully protecting the game? If I was those Devs, I would get my money back from the 9 other providers that didn't do anything for them!
