Although the first three WoW games are legendary for all of us, there were serious problems with the lore, especially after Vanilla WoW.
The biggest problem was that they eliminated the game's most important characters and heavy hitters in just two expansions. Even a legendary character like Kael'thas Sunstrider could have had a special expansion, yet the old team eliminated almost every legendary character in just two expansions. They must have realized this mistake later, because they brought back Illidian with a ridiculous "time travel" concept. They wanted to do same thing to Arthas too but community stopped them.
One of the things the Turtle WoW team did well was making us feel small in the universe, sticking to the storylines of the villains and portraying them as untouchable and indestructible beings. In one of Alah'thalas's quests, we only see a silhouette of Kael'thas and hear how much he misses his people. Arthas, even though he's asleep, still disturbs the universe with his presence, and while playing, you feel the legend these characters have become to the core.
Do you plan to new stories following the path Blizzard took, or do you want to take the stories in this universe to a different level, as the Turtle team did?
