Turtle WoW recently removed global announcements for when battlegrounds (WSG etc.) popped. I assume this was a debated feature since it was removed, but this is my suggested middle ground:
Allow for enabling/disabling similar to the .hcm command. This way willing people can be encouraged and reminded about this. Boosting PvP.
