Lock Faction Creation Early On (H/A pop @Yshaarj)

Dont wanna be doomsaying but i can already feel Horde is going to be vastly overpopulated on the new pvp realm
IF that will be the case, i repeat
IF... that will be the case i really hope for a quick and early intervention to cap the faction pop.
Doing that too late will be a whole point missed where balance is already established ending in like 60/40 H/A ratio (its not like you are going to forcefully transfer people over to other faction later, right ?)

Agreed. Be super ready to act on this promise on day one, not after a few weeks sliding ratios. Actually delivering on this for PvP realms have been one of the few wins the classic wow team has delivered.

Also people should be aware to expect longer BG queues on Horde.

Horde q will be longer no matter if it's 40-60 or 60-40. Horde players naturally like bgs more.

As for op: I don't think it's good to intervene too early. People want to play their race, and if they can't even do that 1 week after launch, it could even drive them off completely.

Twow blocked alliance char creation every now and then for a new hours afaik, to even the numbers. I think that's fine as long as it's not for too long.

Another idea would be free transfers to alliance.

In my experience, it has to be around 2 alliance for every Horde player (~67%-33%) for even q times. Which would be a nice thing. So I wouldn't mind a huge alliance base.

I frankly don't know. All I know is that on the servers I played, q times only were similar if it was significantly more alliance players around
