Elemental immune enemies rework suggestion

I would like to present an idea to maybe look at an engaging solution to work around element immune mobs like they are common in MC or just in general, for my example I will just stick to the fire eles from MC.

It is known that these eles are immune to fire, meaning a lot of specs cant be played / are at a disadvantage in MC, like fire mage, destro lock and ele shaman.

My idea would be through gearing to "break" these immunities. The idea I got from how this system works in Diablo 2, where you can get elemental / magic pierce (basically lowering the enemies resistances) from gear or talents and with enough value you can get immune mobs to be non immune, basically being able to damage them.

So we already got the item stat in game with lowering enemy resistances / pierce, but from my knowledge it is not really useful in PvE or at least no one is taking it as a stat on gear if you have other options. Hence why not make it useful for breaking immune mobs, bringing overall more build diversity into raids and giving these items/stats more value.

A litte example, lets say a MC fire ele has 149 fire res and it will be immune to fire until you have enough pierce to get it to under 100 res, meaning if you have 50 fire pierce from gear you get it to 99 and it will be able to be dmg'd ONLY by you.

I think this could be an interesting approach and a new system for players to actually play the spec that they want, bringing with it more options for gearing and making maybe so far unused gear pieces usable.

Classic spirit don't need any of this stuff. Just use other build.
