Not sure if the octowow dev team is planning to do this but would be cool if in the future we had playable furbolgs for alli and ogre's for the horde
Mysteries of Azeroth — is a story expansion made by the OctoWow Team, inspired by the Warcraft universe of Blizzard Entertainment.

But there will be huge problem with pala for Horde... hard to implement such change.
Ud Death Knight with "unholy" instead of holy spellbook?
I don't see any reason for the Furbolgs to be hostile to the horde, especially the tauren. I think they work best as a neutral faction, especially given the Timbermaw are neutral. Also rigging gear on them would be incredibly difficult.Rubberrogue wrote: Mon Jul 13, 2026 6:02 pm Not sure if the octowow dev team is planning to do this but would be cool if in the future we had playable furbolgs for alli and ogre's for the horde
UD can actually use the light, it just hurts them, but it doesn't harm them. It is incredibly uncomfortable for them but it wouldn't cause them to die over time, just a horrible existence where they can feel the maggots in their intenstines and smell their own rot.Dzielkus wrote: Mon Jul 13, 2026 7:02 pm +

Furbolgs are explicitly shamanistic, I thank that is the issue they are bringing upDracarusggotham wrote: Wed Jul 15, 2026 2:37 pmNo one is asking for Palas in the Horde...Dzielkus wrote: Mon Jul 13, 2026 7:02 pm +

I agree with this...the only time ive ever seen Furbolgs done well was on Azeroth at War which actually showed the fall of Hyjal if you started as a Furbolg...however..while that was REALLY awesome...its the only time ive seen it done well at all!!!Octosaur wrote: Tue Jul 14, 2026 9:38 pm Furbolgs are a lame ass race with a single storyline repeated endlessly and it's that every furbolg ever seems to get corrupted by something and then we have to murder them. Furbolgs are fine as background story flavour but they are not the types to carry a story and the Alliance has better options available anyway like the Draenei who have a lot going on (rebuilding their civilisation from ruins, plane-spanning teleportation magic, hunting and leatherworking, deep and justified hatred for the orcs, etc.)
Furbolg also have a very specific and limited aesthetic and the moment you start dressing them in player character gear like plate and cloth they're going to look goofy as heck.
