The MacroErrorUI extension also provides real-time visual error feedback directly in the macro editor (error panel below the frame + red line highlights). Incompatible with SuperMacro.

### Error Highlights (Red)
Lines with syntax errors are highlighted in red. An error summary panel below the macro frame shows details for each error (unknown conditionals, malformed brackets, unrecognized commands, etc.).
### Conditional Highlights (Green)
When the macro editor is open, the addon evaluates your macro's conditionals every 0.5 seconds against live game state and highlights the currently passing alternative in green.
```lua
#showtooltip
/cast [nocooldown]Bloodthirst;Whirlwind
```
- While Bloodthirst is off cooldown: `[nocooldown]Bloodthirst` is highlighted green
- While Bloodthirst is on cooldown: `Whirlwind` is highlighted green instead
This works with all conditional commands (`/cast`, `/use`, `/equip`, `/startattack`, `/stopattack`, `/stopmacro`, etc.) and any conditional — buffs, debuffs, health, stance, modifiers, targeting, and more.
**Rules:**
- Only lines with at least one `[...]` conditional block are highlighted — purely unconditional lines (e.g., `/cast Whirlwind`) show no green
- The first passing alternative in each line is highlighted (left-to-right, separated by `;`)
- Unconditional fallbacks (e.g., the `Whirlwind` after `;`) highlight when all preceding conditional alternatives fail
- Red error highlights take priority — if a line has a syntax error, no green is shown for that line
- `?` tooltip-hide prefixes are ignored during evaluation so hidden alternatives still get highlighted
