Two one-cause clusters: the pet bar never loaded, the auction window never built
**The pet bar, nine tests.** No script errors, and the shelf simply never drew. PetActionBarFrame had no scripts attached at all: the kit seats a bare stand-in under that name from the managed-positions pass — which it must, since the pass does PetActionBarFrame:IsShown() (UIParent.lua:2065) — and the real frame could never take the name back, a publish to _G being non-overwriting (0x701bd0). So PetActionBar_OnLoad never ran, showgrid stayed nil instead of 0, and ShowPetActionBar's `showgrid == 0` gate refused forever. The kit was loading BonusActionBarFrame.xml, whose ShapeshiftBar_OnLoad calls that pass, *before* PetActionBarFrame.xml. The realm's FrameXML.toc has them at rows 83 and 84, the other way round. Loading them in toc order fixes eight; the ninth asserted stock 1.12's unguarded `Attack ()`, and the realm now wraps that append in `if ( key ~= "" )`, so the client was right. Same shape and the same seat list that cost 137 tests through ChatFrame1. **The auction window, fourteen tests.** The whole Blizzard_AuctionUI load raised: the realm's rewritten CalculateAuctionDeposit is `floor(price * (duration/120) * (1 + (maxStack - stackSize) * 0.05) * 0.025)`, and GetAuctionSellItemInfo answered the reference's six values — 1.12 returns exactly six — so maxStack was nil and the arithmetic raised out of AuctionFrameAuctions_OnLoad. The window never built. It answers eight now: maxStack from the template's stack size, and the link. Then the realm's own CalculateAuctionDeposit replaces the engine binding, as it is meant to, which is why that test's numbers move — its fixture also needed Linen Cloth's real stack of 20, since a missing one reads 1 and makes the factor shrink below 1 for a two-item stack. Also recorded, because it changes what every earlier count in this session meant: `cargo test --workspace` stops at the first failing binary, so the "96 failures" I had been tracking was benilla-app's lib target alone. With --no-fail-fast the real total was 257; these two clusters take it to 243. benilla-ui is fully green (2061), and 80 of the rest are the known benilla-formats data goldens. Lua bindings coerce numbers, flags and colours as 1.12.1 does (#991)
Lua bindings now read their arguments the way the 1.12.1 client does:
- Numeric strings parse as Storm's `SStrToInt` (`0x64ac60`) and `SStrToFloat` (`0x64aaa0`). That covers channel keys, `GetNumber` and `item:` fields.
- Flag arguments go through `GetBoolOrDefault` (`0x6f1c10`) with each site's default. That is about 40 bindings, `SetChecked()` and `ShowHelm()` among them.
- Colour channels take numeric strings (`lua_tonumber`), and alphas are `isnumber`-gated: no raise, 1.0 by default. A three-argument `SetVertexColor` keeps the current alpha (`0x79ae0a`). So action-bar rings dimmed by a drag stay dimmed, as in 1.12.1.
- `SetTexture("1")` takes the colour form. MessageFrame channels follow `0x795590`.
- `LoggingChat`/`LoggingCombat` return the flag.
Binding-level tests use the reference's values.

Layout writes invalidate as 1.12.1 does; only a reached node re-resolves (#964)
The solver took any node's recomputed rect whenever it resolved, because about 55 layout writes named a node without invalidating it. So a freed region stayed in its dependents' anchors, `SetTexture` re-resolved a failed texture, and a scroll child kept its authored anchors behind a per-solve override. In 1.12.1 a node re-resolves only when invalidated or a target stores a new rect (`0x768d20`, slot 0 `0x768cf0`). `SetTexture` only dirties the draw (`0x770200`). A destructor frees its dependents' anchors to it (`0x768e20` → `0x767e70`, no invalidate). A scroll child is re-anchored to one TOPLEFT (`0x787100`). Every write now invalidates exactly where the reference's does, and the solver's guess, the hold and the art latch are gone. The tooltip invalidates only on its relayout (`0x530640`). Tests bite on the parent; the verifier is green; the stock UI's quads are byte-identical. Text measures by the reference kernel: kerned steps, ink tail, no pad (#956)
Text measured `ceil(sum of steps) + 1`: no kerning, float advances, the last glyph priced by its step, and no outline or shadow lead. In 1.12.1 the kernel (`0x5c6940`) seeds a line with the outline lead plus the shadow (`0x5c69c0`, `0x5c69a4`), steps each glyph by `ceil(floor(adv) + 1 + min(kern, 0))` on FreeType's 26.6 advances (`0x5ca2d0`, `0x5d1298`), prices the line's last glyph by its ink (`0x5c6b70`, `0x5cb080`) and carries the previous glyph across a break (`0x5c6aa0`). The draw rows use the same law, shadow-seeded, wrapping at `ceil(width)` (`0x5c7470`, `0x5cddb1`). The measure, the wrap, the justify and the EditBox now follow it, reading the face's own metrics, kerning and composite build (`0x7d40e6`). Tests pin widths computed outside the code base from FRIZQT and ARIALN at 12–34 px, with and without outline and shadow. SetFont gates as 1.12.1 does; SetSpacing on every text table (#946)
`SetFont` raised on a `false` flags argument and wrote the height even when the load failed, and only SimpleHTML had `SetSpacing`/`GetSpacing`, so SpellAlert's message frame raised in its OnLoad. In 1.12.1 `SetFont` (`0x79f210`, the FontString's `0x79d4f0`) reads flags only when `lua_isstring` (`0x79f287`), writes them on every successful load (`0x79f334`), and writes nothing on a failed load or a height ≤ 0 (`0x79f361`, `0x79f2f4`, `0x771571`). Every text table has the spacing pair (`0x79fb40`/`0x79fbe0`; the FontString's clamps at `0x772240`); the line step adds the gap rounded up to a device pixel (`0x5c2070`, `0x5cdc20`), as do the message frames (`0x78899e`, `0x785f06`) and EditBox rows (`0x77d133`). All seven SetFont bindings share these gates and ask the host's font probe; spacing is stored, inherited, measured and drawn on all six tables. Tests bite on the parent for each. One anchor slot per point; SetPoint skips an unchanged anchor (#934)
Anchors were a list: SetPoint re-applied an unchanged anchor, GetPoint counted in the order points were set and answered five nils past the last, and the cursor tooltip replaced every anchor each frame. In 1.12.1 a frame holds one anchor per point. SetPoint (`0x767c70`) returns at `0x767d5e` with no store and no layout queue when that point's anchor has the same target and relative point and both offsets differ by under 2⁻²² layout units (`[0x8029d4]`). GetPoint (`0x7a2340`) walks the nine slots in point order and pushes nothing past the last (`0x7a240d`). The `ANCHOR_CURSOR` update sets BOTTOM alone (`0x530b20`). Anchors are now nine slots, and SetPoint, GetPoint and the cursor update follow those rules. Tests: an unchanged re-set and an in-threshold offset touch no layout, GetPoint order and indexes, a cursor tooltip keeps an addon's second point. The tick drains the layout around the walk; size gates in layout units (#922)
The tick ran the OnUpdate walk without resolving the layout around it, so a resize made in an event handler fired `OnSizeChanged` after the walk, and some walk slots resolved on their own to compensate. Separately, `OnSizeChanged` gated on 2⁻²² in benilla's units, and an emptied FontString kept its old measured box in the incremental layout. In the reference, the pump drains the layout queue before the walk and again after it, each drain firing `OnSizeChanged`, then re-picks the hover. ApplyRect compares sizes against 2⁻²² in its own units, where the screen diagonal is 1. The tick now drains before and after the walk and drops the stand-in resolves. Size gates scale 2⁻²² by the layout unit, and a FontString's text going empty or back names it on the layout when its node changes. Tests pin each. Creating or freeing a frame or region re-derives only what it touches (#915)
Any write that changed the layout graph's roster (a frame or region created, freed, re-owned or re-pointed) made the next resolve derive the whole graph: about 1.35 ms for one `CreateTexture` or `CreateFrame` on the stock UI, against 0.05 ms for a no-op. A write now names the nodes it touched, and the resolve re-derives just those in the cached graph: a joining node is added with its edges, a leaving one is removed and its dependents seeded, a staying one has its edges and inputs re-synced. The full derivation stays the fallback. A region's owner and an art change are now layout inputs that name their region. Verify now also compares the graph itself. A randomized test checks rects and graph against a scratch solve after every batch of creates, frees, re-owns and re-anchors. `CreateTexture` now costs 0.14 ms, `CreateFrame` 0.15 ms, a backdrop rebuild 0.22 ms. OnUpdate walks strata, level and link order, as 1.12.1 does (#868)
OnUpdate ran in frame-creation order, from a list built before the walk, so a frame hidden by an earlier handler still updated, and strata and level played no part. The reference's update walk `0x765650` goes through the nine strata from the bottom, each stratum's levels from 0, and each level's list oldest link first. It saves the next frame before each call, so a hide skips a frame before its turn. A frame linked into the level being walked waits a tick; one linked into a level still ahead runs there. The walk now follows that order, using the link stamps shows and level changes already keep. It checks each frame at its turn and places frames linked or given an `OnUpdate` mid-walk. An EditBox still flushes right after its own `OnUpdate`. Tests cover the order, mid-walk hides and shows, and a box's flush. Fixes #742 Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

Script errors reach the error handler bare, as 1.12.1 hands them (#865)
Script errors reached the Lua error handler as mlua's display text: a `runtime error: ` word and a `stack traceback:` block, which overflow the stock `ScriptErrors` dialog. And a raise in a `CreateFrame` template's OnLoad was logged as a warning and never reached the handler at all. In the reference, handlers run under `lua_pcall` with the error function `0x703b40`, which calls the `seterrorhandler` function with the bare message. `CreateFrame` builds its template through the XML instantiator `0x6ee280`, whose OnLoad runs under that same function (`0x704d50`). Now every caught error records two texts: the decorated one for benilla's log and the bare message for the handler. A load report pairs the two per row, and `CreateFrame` records its template's errors as script errors. Tests: the handler hears bare messages from handlers, and a template OnLoad raise reaches it. The UI scale is UIParent's own scale over a 768-unit root (#841)
The UI scale was folded into the pixel seam, with the root and `UIParent` at scale 1. Frames outside `UIParent` (dropdown menus, need/greed rolls, the world map) shrank with it, `UIParent:GetScale()` answered 1, and `GetCursorPosition()` was off by the scale. In 1.12.1 the scale is `UIParent`'s own frame scale (`0x494550` → `0x76ac10`, floored at 0.64) over a 768-unit root. `GetScreenWidth`/`GetScreenHeight` divide by it (`0x494590`), and `GetCursorPosition` (`0x48b820`) does not. Now the seam is `height/768`, and the scale is applied to `UIParent` at the load's end and on a resize. The nameplates' compensation is gone. Backdrops, hit insets and minimap pings now follow a frame's own scale (`0x76b580`, `0x77e8d0`); tooltips at the cursor and `OnCursorChanged` divide by it (`0x530b20`, `0x77db23`). Tests cover each, and a stock-UI comparison shows nothing inside `UIParent` moves. EditBox caret keys, selection and focus blink follow 1.12.1 (#750)
Several EditBox keys differed from 1.12.1: - Up/Down did nothing in a multi-line box; - Home/End went to the text's ends; - `HighlightText` and Ctrl+A moved the caret; - focus did not restart the blink; - a non-digit kept a numeric box's selection; - Option+Up could not recall chat history on a Mac. In 1.12.1, Up/Down move a wrapped row, keeping the letter column (`0x77cb20`), or recall history in a single-line box with any modifier but Shift. Home/End stop at a newline (`0x77c980`, `0x77c9f0`). `HighlightText` writes only the selection (`0x77cca0`), and Shift extends by `0x77cd10`. Focus restarts the blink (`0x77dd68`), and Insert deletes the selection before its digit test (`0x77bf41`). benilla now does each. Down onto the last row lands at the end, and history stays shell-style, both deviations. Tests cover each key, in the engine and the stock mail and ticket boxes. EditBox events fire from each box's flush, as 1.12.1 orders them (#734)
EditBox events fired from hoisted drains before any OnUpdate, OnTextChanged before OnCursorChanged, and only on an edit. In 1.12.1: - Each box's update `0x77a790` fires its own `OnUpdate` and then its flush `0x77d3e0`, and a key-down or click flushes first (`0x77b1e2`, `0x77b819`). - The flush runs off dirty bits in `[E+0x31c]`: relayout on bit 0, then `OnCursorChanged` on bit 2, then `OnTextChanged`. - The ctor sets bit 0, so a box fires at its first show. Every text-region re-seat raises bits 0–2 (`0x77ba7f`), so a resize, new insets, `SetMultiLine` or a font change fires it again. benilla now keeps the same bits and flushes each box in the walk and at its keys and clicks. So typing DELETE and pressing Enter in one frame enables the popup's button, as in 1.12.1. Tests cover the order, first show, re-seats, a key's flush and no-op moves. A multi-line EditBox grows with its text; a Lua-made box draws its text (#729)
A multi-line EditBox kept its authored height, so a scroll frame around a long mail body or ticket had no range. A box made in Lua with no template never placed its text, so it drew nothing. In 1.12.1, the flush's relayout sets a multi-line box's height to its insets plus its wrapped text height, or one line when empty (`0x77d4d0` at `0x77d8ad`). Every resize, including the first layout, re-seats the text at the top-left inset (`0x77a8d0` → `0x77b8c0`). `SetTextInsets`, `GetTextInsets`, `SetMultiLine` and a font change re-seat it too. benilla now does the same. A focused multi-line box's caret and text are clipped only by a scroll frame, as the reference clips neither. Tests cover growth and shrink, the stock mail and ticket scroll ranges, each re-seat trigger, a Lua box's first layout, and the caret in an empty box and after a trailing newline. benilla-ui: unused globals and queues removed, one true/nil helper, three tests that test their claim (#305)
Code health in `benilla-ui`, found while its comments were rewritten. No behaviour a player can see changes.
- **Unused globals and queues removed.**
- The Rust `ChatFrame_OpenChat` and `ChatFrame_SendTell` queued text that nothing drained. The stock `ChatFrame.lua` defines both globals and replaces them when it loads, as the reference's FrameXML does.
- `BenillaGetItemStats` had no Lua caller. Its test of the item cache's miss, ask and push now runs through `GetItemInfo`, which shares that path.
- `UiScript::queue_social_request` had no caller.
- **One true/nil helper.** Seven modules each carried their own copy of `binding_abi::flag`, the reference's `1`-or-nil boolean. They call it now.
- **Three tests test their claim.**
- `click_focuses_regardless_of_autofocus_…` built both boxes with autoFocus on. One is now off.
- `level_shift_saturates_at_zero` never saturated. Its child now drops past 0.
- The layout profiler's `plan` bucket was never set, so it always printed 0. It is gone.
- **Smaller fixes.** An empty `if buyback {}` branch is gone, and a doc comment no longer sits on a `use` line instead of on `install_justify`.
Checked with `cargo clippy -p benilla-ui --all-targets -D warnings` and `cargo test -p benilla-ui` (1513 passed) before the land gates.

String literals in benilla-ui, -world and -formats carry no record numbers (#299)
Part of #92, for `benilla-ui`, `benilla-world` and `benilla-formats`. - 88 string literals drop private record and bug numbers, the dates of private incidents, and the workspace's name for the maintainer. They are assert and panic texts, log and printout lines, the `--` comments of the Lua prelude and of test fixtures, and one Lua assert. Each keeps its fact in its own words. - Two test names lose their numbers: `burning_steppes_lava_builds_a_magma_surface_at_the_reported_pin` and `join_channel_by_name_answers_the_row_custom_and_nil_legs`. - A test-only event, `B271_PROBE`, is now `ERROR_PROBE` in the two crates that register and fire it. A fixture's error text in `benilla-app`'s `ui_script` tests drops its bug number, together with the assertion that reads it. - Doc comments that named a client function by a disassembler's label (`FUN_0068a830`) now give its address, in `benilla-formats`, `benilla-assets` and one `benilla-app` file. - Every literal change keeps each literal's line count, proven with comments stripped and every literal masked. The two renamed tests differ only in their names. 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> |

Comments in benilla-ui: one line of fact each, no history, no record numbers (#143)
Part of #41: the comments of `benilla-ui` (the Lua UI engine, its FrameXML loader and its widgets) are rewritten to the rule in `docs/METHOD.md`, which is what the code does and the reference fact behind it, in a line. 43,140 comment lines become 15,161. - **The mechanical strip.** The citations that were only a private record number go first, and each edit is shown to be a pure removal. - **Wrong facts corrected.** The rewrite corrects the comments that stated wrong facts. Among them: - `0x64a480` is the case-sensitive compare (a byte `repz cmpsb`), and `0x64a4c0` the case-insensitive one. - A frame's id sits at `+0xb0`, not `+0xb4`. `EnableKeyboard`/`IsKeyboardEnabled` are `0x776ec0`/`0x776f90`. - A region's unpinned edge has no fallback to its owner's rect: the owner supplies only the scale. - `$parent` expands to the nearest named ancestor, or "Top" when none is named (`0x76c5b0`), not simply to the parent. - A StatusBar fills from its internal normalised fraction, not from `GetValue()`. - The addresses of `StartDuel` and `StartDuelUnit` were swapped. - Many "untraced" notes now give the traced reference fact: the drag threshold, the per-grip sizing edges, the empty-`autoFocus` skip, and `SetTexCoordModifiesRect`'s default. - Stock FrameXML line citations are checked against the stock 1.12 files and corrected. `ref-` file names become the stock file names. - **Deviation labels.** "Deviation:" now marks only a choice with a reason. A surface that exists only for the retired Era addon target says so plainly: it is not 1.12. - **Verification.** Every file strips to identical code, and `cargo fmt --check` is clean. Nine second readers compared every file old against new, restored the facts the rewrite had dropped, and checked each new citation against the code, the stock files, vmangos and the reference. Behaviour differences the rewrite surfaced are filed as their own issues (#131–#142), and more are being validated. The comments here state what the code does. String literals are untouched; they are #92. 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> |

comments cite the reference by address, not by private note (#30)
Comments that pointed into the maintainer's private reverse-engineering notes (a note by name, a path, a section or finding id, the analysis's own name for a client function, a process word) now carry the fact itself, cited by the reference client's address, by vmangos file and line, or as "the reference". Nobody outside could follow those pointers. Comment text only, plus the test-assert and log strings that carried the same pointers. No claim changes: a comment the notes have since corrected keeps its wording here, and correcting it is separate work. The two reference generators, `scripts/gen-reference-globals.py` and `scripts/gen-reference-verb-events.py`, named the private notes' layout to find their inputs. They now take the input files as arguments (`--capture`, `--framexml`, `--names`, `--extents`, `--disasm`). Run on the same inputs, both write the committed tables row for row; only the two header lines that named the old environment variable change. Checked per file: - the code is identical: each file with its comments stripped compares equal before and after; a changed string literal is compared under a mask that proves only literal text moved and every literal kept its line count; - no client address the old text cited was dropped; - a second reviewer checked every added address against its derivation; - a detector for the notes' names, paths, ids, function names and process words finds none left; - `scripts/gates.sh` is green. plate text settles, mobs stop sinking, and select goes with Lua 5.1

- a slider with a value step snaps to it: a stepped drag fires once per row instead of once per pixel, a scrollbar cannot rest between two rows, and one wheel notch on the trainer list reaches the bottom (2133) - setting a step on a live slider moves its value onto the new lattice and runs its handler, which an addon on the real client can count on (2143) - a button pushed from script releases on the next mouse-up, so Tablet-2.0's rows stop staying pressed forever; a release off the button's rect un-presses it, and a locked state holds (2134) - the mail body and the GM ticket box scroll as you type past their bottom, and the Use UI Scale checkbox reads a registered setting (2141) - an engine warning, a call that was accepted and did nothing, reaches the /errors window in grey instead of one terminal line; a text row trimmed mid-character no longer kills the window's repaint (2135, 2138) Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

a hundred stale claims retire, and text= was never a divergence
- a comment that justifies code by an engine difference is a claim with an expiry date, and the tree had ~96 expired ones across `assets/ui`, `ui_script/` and `benilla-ui` — a hygiene pass, no behaviour change: dangling `Benilla*` names with zero definitions (`BenillaMoney_*` at thirteen sites after 1937/1962 converged the coin cluster onto the stock `SmallMoneyFrameTemplate`; `BenillaGossipRow_Resize`, `BenillaErrorsFrame_AddMessage`, the digit feed 1285 deleted, `BenillaMerchantItem_OnClick` and three more), "the shipped `assets/ui/<X>.xml`" for thirty-odd files the directory no longer holds — it holds nine — each site now naming the chain file that actually loads, `UiPanels.xml` in the present tense after 1988 took the panel manager and the dialog engine stock, and expired self-deprecation: SimpleHTML "a widget kind we do not have" (1337 built it), "benilla has no console" (1948 bound `ConsoleExec`), `Model`'s "seven verbs not published yet" and "`ClearFog` is a guess" (all 23 are published, the carve sits 500 lines below, `UNBUILT` has been `[&str; 0]` since 2027), `frame_flag_gate`'s doc describing four groups of accepted mouse divergences over a `KNOWN` list that is empty (the empty array and its enforcement stay), five comments saying key delivery is not gated on `keyboard_enabled` where `script::keyboard`'s walk filters on exactly that field (1319), `SetRaidTarget` called a verb this house lacks beside an assert that its intent IS queued (1820), two questlog tests deferring to a screenshot for `GetPoint`/`IsVisible` the regions already answer, `benilla.toc`'s "trade still needs four engine verbs" (all four bound, 1966) and its ping `Model`s "this engine draws no pixels for" (2013 renders `MinimapPing.mdx` itself), and `rig_anim`'s `set_paused` naming a booth caller it does not have; and the code the prose was propping up goes with it: `GameMenuFrame.xml`'s six `<OnLoad>` label setters, because `text=` on a `<Button>` is a global-string lookup at the loader's attribute step (0995, built 61 seconds before the file was written) — the buttons carry `text="LOGOUT"`/`"EXIT_GAME"`/`"MACROS"`/`"RETURN_TO_GAME"`/`"MAIN_MENU"` as the reference's own do; `ScriptLogFrame`'s five authored close-button lines, now `inherits="UIPanelCloseButton"` off the chain's `UIPanelTemplates.xml` seated 757 lines above it (1846); and the editbox's 22-line "gap" doc claiming only the self-acquire `autoFocus` path is built and its `false` default unverified — path 1 is 1686's `visibility_focus`, and the default is `true`, byte-read off `flags = 1` at `0x779a29`/`0x779a2e`, so the test named `autofocus_does_not_focus_on_show…` is renamed for what it actually pins (2044) - the `text=` divergence never existed: `resolve_text`'s doc had claimed since 0068 that falling back to the raw attribute on a GlobalStrings miss was "one deliberate divergence" from a reference that draws the empty string, and read at the byte it is the reference's own behaviour — `FrameScript_GetText 0x703bf0` does return a pre-seeded empty string (`0x882748`) when the global is not a string, but that return never reaches a label, because all three `text=` readers image-wide test it and substitute the raw attribute: `Button::LoadXML` at `0x778c07` (`0x778c31 mov eax, esi`), `CSimpleFontString::LoadXML` at `0x771006` byte-identically, and `0x7292a6`, which pushes `edi` on the empty arm; so the loader changes nothing, the two test comments that had called `PetLevelText`'s "Level level race class" placeholder and `CLOSE` our divergence now name the reference's arm (a real 1.12 client draws them too), and what IS ours is the extra warning on a key-shaped miss (0983 → 0991), a strict addition; beside it, `GetEffectiveScale`'s root factor is 1 not because "benilla has no `uiScale` CVar" — 1804 registered one, default 0.9 — but because the dial is applied at the raster seam, `768/uiScale` UI units of virtual-screen height rather than a scale on `UIParent`, so every coordinate the VM hands Lua is already in those units and the reference's `GetCursorPosition()/GetEffectiveScale()` transcriptions convert correctly with a root of 1 (2044) Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

every dialog is the reference's own, and the trainer loads on demand
- every dialog is the reference's own: `StaticPopup.xml` + `StaticPopup.lua` load off the player's chain, and 0308's engine with its 37 dialogs leaves `UiPanels.xml`; all 76 of the reference's dialogs are the stock table's, 28 of which no file of ours had ever registered (the resurrect family among them); the nine hidden listener frames that existed only because benilla once had no `UIParent_OnEvent` come home to it verbatim from UIParent.lua, and the seven files that were nothing but a dialog and its driver are deleted; what the swap surfaced: the reference capitalises the countdown's unit word ("5 Minutes until release") where ours had lowercased it, and ESC in the typed delete confirm's box is swallowed — the entry names no escape handler; arms for events this engine never fires (PLAYER_SKINNED, TRADE_REQUEST) wait on their feeds rather than being armed blind (1960)
- the social window and the unit menus are the reference's own files: `FriendsFrame.xml` loads off the chain and our transcription is deleted — its twelve dialogs re-homed, `FRIENDLIST_SHOW` fired as the answer to an explicit `ShowFriends()`, and `Get`/`SetLookingForGroup` a client-side flag until their bodies are carved; `UnitPopup.xml` loads off the chain, our row catalogue and its driver frame go, and nine verbs are built for it — `HasFullControl` off the player-control flag the reference reads at `0x51a158`, `UnitPlayerOrPetInParty`/`InRaid` over a new unit owner, and the six pet one-shots, each pressing the bar's own reaction or command slot word through the same latch and `CMSG_PET_ACTION`, confirmed by wow-re's carve; the Guild Leave/Promote confirms 1958 believed nothing registered were our social file's all along, and the duplicate went with it (1958, 1959)
- the trainer loads on demand: our `TrainerFrame.xml` is deleted and no row replaces it — `Blizzard_TrainerUI` loads off the player's own chain through the reference's `ClassTrainerFrame_LoadUI`, and the LoadOnDemand `Blizzard_*` addons are registry rows read off the chain; the timing IS the mechanism: the list builder writes the state-filter mask to 3 on every `SMSG_TRAINER_LIST` (`0x4d75d9`) and the stock addon pushes its saved filters exactly once, on its own ADDON_LOADED — which fires on the session's first trainer, after that packet, so the saved filters win that open and an eager load would never have applied them; the loader holds an anchor to a sibling not built yet and applies it once the subtree exists; and `UNIT_FLAGS` fires only on a change between two snapshots — wow-re's trio found the per-field watch bridge runs no notify pass on the create leg, correcting 1953 (1957)
- the additive window, built and withdrawn the same hour: under `BLEND_ADD` every additive particle draw commutes with every other, so same-key additive draws can be regrouped exactly — built in the effect lane's merge walk and measured on the crowd rig (Stormwind, forty partybots): the adjacency merge already folds about half the effect items and the regroup found two more folds in a frame of ninety-three, so the pre-regroup walk is what runs; what stays: an `fx=` items/merged census on the FPS probe line, a `DRESS_PART` line per drawn part of the self body on the dress census, and the regression the A/B uncovered: 1948's stock chat migration dropped the drain's plain-line sender, so every `WOW_PROBE_CHAT` rig — the crowd rig's forty `.partybot add`s among them — had gone silent on the server; a probe's slash-less line reaches the wire as SAY again (1955)

the chat and spellbook go stock, and hidden props park their meshes
- the chat window is the reference's own `ChatFrame.xml` and `FloatingChatFrame.xml`, run off the player's chain; our 2216-line transcription is deleted, the feed fires `CHAT_MSG_*` and the reference's `ChatFrame_OnEvent` prints — no app-side composition into the windows, no routing table, no whisper chime or flash of ours, and the transcribed edit-box machine (sticky type, tell ring, Tab cycle) retires with it; the verbs the two files call are built to the bytes — the whole `0x98` chat-window record and its eight verbs, the 94-entry chat-type colour registry, the language walk, the channel verbs as a command queue, the slash handlers' emote/roll/assist/uninvite/console/logging verbs; `chat-cache.txt` is written and read in the reference's whole grammar, the 68-entry message-group table in flag order and the no-file boot included, and the chat bindings and macro lines run through the reference's own arms (1948) - the spellbook is the reference's own `SpellBookFrame.xml`; our 965-line transcription is deleted, and two quirks it reproduced by hand (the pet page ignores its page number, its arrows write the spell book's counter) now come from the reference's lines; one adapter remains because the reference's autocast shine is a `<Model>` that draws no pixels in this engine — the script puts the token-texture shine beside each button's model and carries it with the model's shown state; the nine spell-slot bindings (`GetSpellName`, `CastSpell`, `PickupSpell` and their kin) now parse their arguments the way the reference's shared marshaller `0x4b3ec0` does — a numeric arg 1, a mandatory arg 2, the index gated to [0, 0x400) with "Invalid spell slot in <Verb>" on a miss, "pet" matched without case — where ours raised mlua's own message on a negative id, answered nil for 0 and above 1024, and read the wrong book for "PET" (1952) - a long-hidden world model part parks its `Mesh3d`: the entity path keeps the batches the retained pass declines resident — 5.3k hidden submeshes at any instant at the Stormwind auction house — and Bevy's sweeps walk every `Mesh3d` whether it draws or not, so a part parks after 30 consecutive hidden frames and unparks the frame its verdict turns visible; every world model part takes part, units' bodies included, while a booth's mirror parts stay out; interleaved pairs read an alone Stormwind 0.1–0.4 ms lighter, and `WOW_NO_MESH_PARK=1` is the A/B; the audio thread's realtime class was the standing suspect for the raid's `cpu_p99` spikes with sound on, and `WOW_AUDIO_NO_RT=1` across two interleaved Blackrock pairs read no difference, so the lever stays as an instrument (1949); and a no-merge prop batch now says which rule declined it — animated (1551 at the auction house) or transparent, not order-free (340) (1951) - the probe reads CPU per thread across its window (user and system split, because a user-mode sampler never sees kernel time) and the main thread's CPU inside the app's frame beside its whole-frame CPU; together they place the vsync tax every player pays by default — cpu_ms 10.7 uncapped against 12.5 under vsync, alone in Stormwind, with no system growing and no thread spinning: it lands on the main thread, in user time, inside the schedules, the same systems each running slower, and a low-priority spinner holding one core busy erases it to the last decimal (vsync + spinner 10.18 against uncapped 10.17), which is frequency scaling — under vsync the cores idle deeper between frames and the next burst starts at a lower clock; nothing in the client is the cause and nothing in the client changes for it (1950) Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

the inspect and talent windows are the reference's own
- the inspect and talent windows are the reference's own: `Blizzard_InspectUI` and `Blizzard_TalentUI` are LoadOnDemand addons whose real `.xml`/`.lua` live inside `patch.MPQ` — the loose `Interface\AddOns` folder holds only a `.pub` signature, which three notes in this tree had read as "packed, no source to migrate from", one wrong inference that kept five windows on hand-written transcriptions; 2300 lines of ours out, no engine work needed, and three things our talent transcription had quietly invented fell out (there was no level-10 gate, every tree scrolled where a shallow one does not, and a nil `TalentMicroButton` threw out of OnShow before the window painted) - a nil unit token RAISES in 53 of 83 bindings: wow-re censused the registrar table at `0x850438` — `UnitName(nil)` raises and `UnitIsVisible(nil)` is quiet, one line apart in stock files, so there is no rule to derive, the table is the rule; ours answered a default and our own test had pinned it; both token positions of the seven two-token predicates are gated, `GetRaidTargetIndex` too, and `UnitIsAFK`/`UnitIsDND` are confirmed not to exist in 5875 at all (zero occurrences under a positive control) — we invented them, and they stay deliberately ungated - `EditBox:SetNumber` did not exist (the only chain file calling it is `MoneyInputFrame.lua`, on the chain since the money kit): it is byte-identical to `SetText`, formats through `%.14g` in MSVC's CRT (`1e+020`, `1.#INF`), and `OnTextChanged` never fires from an edit — it fires from the dirty-word drain inside the box's own OnUpdate, coalesced to one per box per frame, where ours fired synchronously and `MoneyInputFrame_SetCopper` raised on it; `PanelTemplates_TabResize`'s `tab` argument is optional as the reference's is (stock macro tabs call it with `0`) - the skull or star on your CURRENT target never appeared or cleared until you re-targeted — `RAID_TARGET_UPDATE` was never fired, and stock `TargetFrame.lua` hangs its repaint off it; a raid-to-party conversion now empties the mark board as `0x4ba550` does; and the group-loot roll popups were already on the chain inside stock `LootFrame.xml` — our 546-line `GroupLootFrame.xml` had been shadowing all four of them Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

druids get their relic slot, and the loot window is the reference's own
- `UnitHasRelicSlot` is real in 1.12 and benilla had no binding for it: `0x519e50` reads `ChrClasses.dbc` field 16 — set for Paladin, Shaman and Druid in `patch.MPQ`'s 17-column copy (the base `dbc.MPQ` copy has 16 columns and no such field, which is how the "always false in vanilla" belief survived twice in decisions and seven times in code) — and stock `PaperDollFrame.lua` calls it unconditionally, so the character sheet would have raised for EVERY class; a druid, paladin or shaman's sheet now hides the ammo slot, shows the relic plate where the bow was, tooltips "Relic", and reports ranged Attack/Damage/Power as N/A, all four branches transcribed from the reference - the loot window is the reference's own `LootFrame.xml`: `LootButton` is built as a real widget type rather than aliased (a Button plus one slot dword and one overridden OnClick — right-click loots exactly like left, no shift/ctrl/alt takes, a row whose Lua handler errored still loots, a fast double-click takes two slots), `LOOT_SLOT_CLEARED` fires per row again because the stock file hangs hide-in-place AND the emptied-page auto-advance off it, `EditBox:Insert(nil)` is a no-op as `lua_tostring` makes it, and an alias `GameTooltip.xml` had quietly become a reader of would have turned every item tooltip white, silently, had it just gone nil - the vendor cursor: `PickupMerchantItem` is two verbs behind one name, decided by what the cursor holds and never by the caller — a held bag item SELLS (index ignored, no merchant-open gate), otherwise the vendor row is grabbed as cursor mode 5, which is invisible to `CursorHasItem` (modes 1 and 9 only) so all thirteen stock gates stay closed while it is held; the drop is the buy, `CMSG_BUY_ITEM_IN_SLOT`, count 1, into a bag or an equipment slot, and every refusal is silent and clears the cursor; the four `Model_*` rotation handlers land in UIParent where the reference keeps them - the gap report reads `:Method(` sites now — it found `SetMerchantCompareItem`, which would have raised on the first vendor-row hover with every check green, and `LootButton:SetSlot`, and 28 "free" windows became 25; the shared coin kit moved out of the merchant window into `MoneyFrame.xml` so the eight windows that draw coins through it can reach it without loading a vendor Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

71 more key commands, and the quest windows wear the reference's names
- the binding registry goes 130 → 201 of the client's 228 live commands: a coverage gate makes registered ∪ recorded-absent exactly the 1.12 surface, each absence naming the Lua globals whose arrival refutes it — which is how 37 rows whose mechanism had already landed came home (the keyring, the pet book, the raid tab, the six action-bar pages, both vertical multibars) — and then four mechanisms bring 71 more: the five camera views with the reference's default table and its sixteen camera CVars read out of the binary (NextView/PrevView do NOT wrap), self-cast riding UseAction's third argument with autoSelfCast a real CVar at last, the friendly target cone / assist / last-hostile as one cycler with a side (the two sides use different deadness tests on purpose, and assist neither requires an assistable target nor swings), and REPLY2 — reply to the last person you told; the friendly cone also stops borrowing the enemy side's in-combat score bonus, which would have shoved a healer targeting you to the head of every cycle - the key names close their gaps: NUMPADEQUALS, F13-F24 and BUTTON6+ were keys the binding window listed and the file saved that the dispatcher could never press — named both ways now, with the namer and the codec structurally unable to disagree again; platform= becomes the OS gate it really is (off a Mac build the iTunes-remote category never even exists), and the Mac 1.12 slice settles that its F13 IS print-screen while F14/F15 map to UNKNOWN on purpose and stay unbindable; and the last-enemy stamp gains the four conjuncts it shipped without — you resolve, are not dead, not a ghost, not mounted, and the new target is alive-or-feigning — so TargetLastEnemy can no longer land somewhere the real client's never would - the quest windows wear the reference's names: ~40 of the quest window's globals were ours (the reference's name usually sitting in the comment beside them), its two six-item reward pools merge into the reference's single ten-item run with the update function ported line-for-line, the four panels and the quest log take REAL scroll frames (the thumb drags now), the gossip window gets its greeting panel, the two mail panes' inert painted-at-rest scrollbars become real ones, the Skills detail pane nests as the reference has it, and nine private constants take their real names; the one that broke a feature detect: our QuestLogCount — a name 1.12 doesn't publish — made pfUI conclude it was running on TBC and die in that branch - an EditBox is born with its constructor's five regions (the text, three selection quads and the caret), so GetRegions answers the reference's own count and authored regions start at index 6 — and a bare <NormalTexture/> now builds a live blank texture, since the element is what creates the region, not its file=; OpacityFrame lands, its first customer having arrived; and the equip / auto-equip / use bind confirms complete the soulbind arc — three different predicates with no quality leg (borrowing the loot arm's would have silenced the confirm on every white bind-on-equip item), Accept re-issuing the original action with the reference's suppress flag because 1.12 ships no confirm packet, and the soulstone use going through the same gate Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

the combat log's wire completes, and PlayerModel is its own class
- the combat log's last eight wire bodies decode — PARTYKILLLOG, SPELLINSTAKILLLOG, PROCRESIST, SPELLORDAMAGE_IMMUNE, SPELLDISPELLOG, DISPEL_FAILED, ENCHANTMENTLOG, SPELLLOGEXECUTE — each layout read off vmangos's own writer and pinned by a byte-exact golden (DISPEL_FAILED carries no count, the list runs to the end of the body; SPELLLOGEXECUTE's POWER_DRAIN row is (amount, power, multiplier), verified at the client's bytes as well as the server's); with the eleven chat types that were waiting on them, 44 chat types become 55 — 29 sentence families, the death pair and the aura rows riding descriptor diffs because 1.12 has no "unit died" opcode, plus the six trailers ((glancing), (30 blocked), (12 absorbed) and kin) that had been missing from every family; also corrected: the durability-death line was going to the red error frame with hard-coded English, and SMSG_SPELLNONMELEEDAMAGELOG lacked its split-damage branch and its blocked wording
- PlayerModel is its own frame kind: SetUnit, RefreshUnit and SetRotation were published on Model, but they belong to the <PlayerModel> method table (0x84f1fc), and the client's lookup chains derived → base only, so a plain <Model> can never reach them — they got there from a strings scan read as ownership, and a strings hit answers whether a name EXISTS, not who owns it (SetUnit's one pooled string is referenced by the PlayerModel and GameTooltip tables and by no Model entry); the new PlayerModel → Model → Frame → Region chain unblocks CreateFrame("PlayerModel"), which is how pfUI builds every unit-frame portrait — and through pfUI, pfQuest and ShaguDPS
- a nil where a number goes is four shapes, not one law: a census of all 408 widget-registrar entries found 62 numeric positions that validate-or-raise, 43 that gate then stage an alternate, 64 that silently coerce to 0.0 and 5 that gate then store nothing — so SetMaxLetters(nil) completes and stores 0, "no limit" (the argument COUNT is checked exactly, the type is not), and the backdrop colour setters are asymmetric on purpose: a nil r/g/b channel is 0.0 but a nil alpha is OPAQUE, and reading every nil as 0.0 would have turned those borders transparent; both setters now also quantize ×255 into the packed 0xAARRGGBB byte quad the client actually stores, so 0.09 reads back as 23/255
- two more addon-killers: LIGHTYELLOW_FONT_COLOR_CODE was the one missing line of Fonts.xml's seven-line colour block (aux-addon concatenates it at file scope and died on its own first line), and the guard now enumerates the whole block l.4-20 instead of the names an earlier round had noticed absent; and the unit frames publish the reference's names — 1.12 has no *PowerBar anywhere, every bar is ManaBar and the colour table is ManaBarColor (8 of the top-20 addons read it by name), so ManaBarColor is the published table our own bars index into, with 22 more regions renamed to the reference's own

the chat dock exists, and alt-arrow keys are declined not swallowed
- the chat dock is a list, not a hardcoded pair: DOCKED_CHAT_FRAMES, SELECTED_DOCK_FRAME and the FCF verbs — DockFrame, UnDockFrame, DockUpdate, SelectDockFrame, SaveDock, SetTabPosition, Close and the button-side trio — are transcribed from FloatingChatFrame.lua, and every "for i = 1, 2" moved to what it meant, the dock or every window; the dock seeds at load from the window record's own docked byte handed to FCF_DockFrame, whose first line IS the reference's early return — transcribing the function that answers the way the reference answers, where an empty stub "because we have no dock" would have been the bandaid; its unconditional re-lock cannot clobber an unlock you saved, because the stored look is applied last; pfUI's RefreshChat now runs end to end - ignoreArrows is alt-arrow mode, and the arrow is DECLINED, not swallowed: the reference's edit-box handler returns unconsumed on an arrow key, so the walk carries it past the box and it runs TURNLEFT — the whole feature is steering while the chat box holds focus, where the old reading left the arrows dead; holding Alt resumes the caret; SetAltArrowKeyMode and its getter land with the reference's own quirk that a missing argument enables while nil disables (the getter answers 1 or nil, never a boolean), SetIgnoreArrows turns out not to exist in 1.12 and is unpublished, and the binding pass gets a named four-key exemption rather than a hole, because the handler consumes every other path - pfUI's square minimap is actually square: Minimap:SetMaskTexture makes the disc's mask state instead of a load-time constant — write-only from Lua, as shipped, no invented getter — where an empty path restores the round default and a failed load keeps the current mask and warns, because either mistake would otherwise hand a mistyped path a silently square map that looks like a feature; and MiniMapBattlefieldFrame grows the Border and Shine regions beside its icon, on the reference's own layers — icon on BACKGROUND, ring on ARTWORK above it, the only order a ring around an icon can draw in — which pfUI hides unguarded to sit the icon flush Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

edit boxes take focus the way 1.12 does, and the stable shows its pets
- the caret was a wedge in the line: it sat in flow, four units wide, so focusing a login box shoved its text right by one caret and a caret parked mid-word opened a gap; it is a zero-width seam now with the bar drawn as an overlay (a 0×26 seam and a 5×26 bar at the same x, off a node probe), the way the reference anchors its caret quad over the FontString; a blurred box collapses its selection so only the box holding the keyboard shows one; and a dialog answers only keys pressed while it was already on screen — ENTER on an empty form used to open the error dialog and close it in the same frame - `autoFocus` defaults ON in the reference (the ctor leaves flags = 1, and every one of the ten `autoFocus` attributes in the shipped chain is an opt-out), showing an autoFocus box focuses it after its `OnShow`, and hiding the focused box releases the keyboard — the "never focuses on show" note we had transcribed came from a `call`-only census that missed a tail `jmp`; the loader's flag loop could only ever turn a flag on, so `autoFocus="false"` was a no-op, fixed before the default flipped or it would have grabbed exactly the ten boxes the reference exempts; and the EditBox does fire generic `OnChar` with the spliced string, on every typed or pasted character and never on `SetText` - the stable master's portrait was a black disc (its session was missing from the `"npc"` token chain — the third window to ship that way, so the test is now exhaustive over every `impl NpcSession` and names the one you forgot) and its model pane draws the selected pet: a stabled pet is a database row with no world entity, so a `PortraitStandIn(display_id)` — an entity that exists only to be mirrored — feeds the existing booth code unchanged; plus the registrar's two service rows were hidden by an inherited attribute, a charter's tooltip carries the guild name and master on line 3, and the Help window drops three strings pointing at a company that stopped answering Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

- the whole loop plays: the line arcs rod tip to bobber, the bite splashes with its own sound, and clicking the bobber reels in - the verdicts read like 1.12: yellow "your fish got away" lines, the reel-in sound, the fishing loot window - "You feel rested." prints on the transition, rest states come from the client's own Exhaustion table, and level 60 trades the XP strip for the max-level rail - the Skills pane lists what the real client lists: the hidden rows, the sort, gray numberless single-rank lines Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

a chat link is one token now, and tooltips print true costs
- a chat link edits as one atomic token: the caret can't land inside it, its colors survive, one keypress removes it whole - spell tooltips print the resolved mana cost through the reference's own table walk, and the "% of base mana" line dies - the spirit healer's confirm comes back after a cancel and wears its warning icon - the dressing room's pane is a live animating model, and a tried-on bow lands in the hand Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

the Options window goes era, and settings finally persist
- one era-style Options window: window chrome, category list, search box and its own ESC rung, with the game menu reshaped to match - settings are real CVars now: GetCVar/SetCVar reach Lua, and your changes persist as a diff in benilla/config.toml - all local state lives in one visible benilla/ folder beside your Data/ — nothing hides in platform config dirs - UI text stays crisp at any scale and survives a mid-session resolution change: glyphs measure in the environment they raster in Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

copy and paste works everywhere, and the sun keeps its colour
- One text-input law for every field. Login, character create and the delete dialog each improvised their own tiny keyboard handling — no caret movement, no selection, no clipboard, and Ctrl/Cmd+V typed a literal "v" into the password box. All of them now run the same byte-verified edit-box law as chat: clipboard, select-all, word moves, shift-selection, the real 0.5 s caret blink. The password box masks what you copy off it, like the original. - Copy/paste on Linux had two independent causes, one per direction: our window is Wayland but the clipboard backend spoke X11 only, and a copy relinquished the X11 selection the moment it returned (an X11 clipboard lives only as long as its owning connection). Both fixed — Wayland windows get a real Wayland clipboard, X11 keeps a held handle. AltGr is not Ctrl anymore either, so Polish and German layouts can type ą, ć and ź in chat instead of triggering select-all. Compile-checked on Linux; wants a real-session retest. - The exterior sun keeps its colour. A per-channel clamp saturated the warm continental sun to pale yellow-white on every sunlit fence, post and doodad; the clamp now happens once, at the sum, so the fiery orange survives — the reported Silverpine fence and Blackrock steps match the reference's own arithmetic. - A pool has a floor. Undercity's upper slime channels claimed the dry room a storey below them — 115 yards down still read as submerged. A pool now stops at its own room's floor; a sweep of every building in the shipped world found 51 such stacked sites across 6 buildings, all closed. - Ctrl/Cmd+Z hides the whole UI layer for clean screenshots, and instrumented debug runs open their window in the background instead of stealing focus. the micro menu, the ping meter, and the PvP flag
- The main menu bar's two empty recesses fill. The micro menu — the eight arched buttons: character, spellbook, talents, quest log, socials, world map, main menu, help — sits in the dark panel between the page arrows and the bags, transcribed from the reference's own layout: the character button wears your portrait, a button holds itself down while its panel is up, and the talent button appears at level 10. The latency meter fills the one slot the bar art leaves transparent for exactly it, tinted green/yellow/red on the reference's 300/600 ms thresholds and drawn UNDER the bar art, seen through its window, the way 1.12 actually does it. The socials and main-menu buttons find their panels one snapshot later; help still waits. - The UI explains itself on hover: 1.12 ships its detailed two-line tooltips ON — a FrameXML default, not the opt-in extra it is often remembered as — so the micro buttons, your own portrait, the XP bar, the five bag buttons and the ping meter all answer a hover with the reference's own explanations. - The PvP flag, end to end: crossed swords on the player, target and party frames, driven by the two descriptor bits the wire actually carries, and `/pvp` speaks — the yellow toast plus the system chat line, the OFF sentence being the one that warns the flag lingers for five minutes. It really does linger: turning it off waits out the server's timer, which looks like a bug and is the reference. - Quest markers stopped freezing. The grey `!` over a questgiver above your level goes gold the moment you ding, an NPC re-entering view is asked afresh instead of wearing a session-old answer, and the marker drops when the questgiver bit goes off — the re-ask triggers mirror the reference's own set, plus one named addition (your own level changing). - Water and heights: swimming downhill no longer bounces between swim and fall ten times a second — the surface line is a two-sided constraint, so the swimmer settles with the river instead of being left behind by it. And collision height is per-unit now, read from the unit's own model: a gnome used to swim with a third of a yard of water over her head because five depth lines were quoting a human's number. - A round of pixel honesty in text and chat: the newest chat line no longer wears a wider drop shadow than every line above it (shadows move in whole pixels now), keeps its descenders, and hover boxes stop painting over the chat body. The chat input's history browse survives programmatic edits, a failed script chunk warns instead of vanishing, and recall deepens to 64 lines. Idle animation got honest too: a model's idle is Stand resolved through its own lookup table — never file order, which had the duel flag bobbing on its spawn clip — and an armed idle is culled on the box its animation authors, not the bind pose, so the flag stops vanishing at most camera angles.
