SamandClaude Fable 5 6b980b9efb the player build: one binary that carries its content
- a player build ships beside the dev one — dev chords and probe surfaces go dark, and a gate enforces what a player can still reach, by medium not by module
- the binary carries its own shaders and its shipped UI, finds the WoW folder by itself, and keeps its local state in one benilla-config folder
- the glue screens get a capture shutter, and the engine stops depending on the protocol crate

[features]
# The dev/player seam, forwarded (decisions 0026 + 1173): this shim is the binary a player would
# run, so `cargo build -p benilla --no-default-features` is the player build — and the gate.

[dependencies]
# `default-features = false` is LOAD-BEARING, not tidiness: without it `cargo build -p benilla
# --no-default-features` still builds the library with ITS defaults (a path dep gets its own),
# so the player-build gate would compile the full dev tree and pass no matter what. Measured on
# 1174's first green run — `cargo tree` listed bevy_egui either way. The `dev` feature above is
# what turns the instruments back on, and it is on by default here.
