I am on Linux and this is my workaround:
1) add the launcher installer as a non-steam game
2) install the game using the default windows ...

This would go strongly against Classic design philosophy. Turtle's devs were very clear when they said they would not "trap Warlocks in Summoning Stones", which is a nice way of asking us to use the tools that are at our disposal to move through the game world...even if the only tool at our disposal ...

Experienced the same problem on the night elf side of things a couple days ago. Got the error along the lines of "Too far from taxi" and my Hearthstone was on cooldown so I had to log off for the day since I was trapped in Moonglade then use my hearth when I next played.

I do think this well written post deserves to be answered. I especially second the concerns about the project not being open sourced, especially since they are using Snapjaw learnings without giving credit.
Less concerned about the Discord. It is a bit of a mess over there but we always have forums ...
