Greetings Champions,
My name is, or was, Bushdoctor. I am writing this of my own accord and was not asked or encouraged to do so by anyone on the OctoWoW team.
First and foremost, I want to apologize to the entire OctoWoW community. More importantly, I want to apologize directly to the OctoWoW team for any trouble, frustration, or damage my actions may have caused.
As many of you know, there has been considerable discussion surrounding a player who was able to craft, or nearly craft, a legendary item in an unusually short period of time. While I do not know every detail of what transpired afterward, I want to be completely transparent about my involvement.
I was the one who gifted some of the materials that contributed to the situation.
This was entirely my decision and my responsibility. It does not reflect the values, standards, or practices of the OctoWoW team in any way. The fault lies with me alone. I know what I did was wrong.
I won’t offer excuses or a sob story. I simply want to express how much this game, this world, and this community mean to me. I enjoyed my time as a GM, perhaps a little too much at times, and I allowed myself to lose sight of the responsibility that comes with that role. What I intended as a harmless act of generosity ultimately undermined the integrity of the game and affected the community as a whole.
For that, I am deeply sorry.
I would also like to ask for understanding toward the player involved. My intention was never to create problems for them or for anyone else. They did not ask me to create this situation, and they should not bear responsibility for a decision that was mine to make. The choice was mine, and I accept full responsibility for it.
I also want to make something absolutely clear: my actions do not represent the ideals, values, standards, or practices of the OctoWoW team.
The team works incredibly hard to ensure the server remains fair, balanced, and enjoyable for everyone. They dedicate countless hours to maintaining the integrity of the game and creating the best possible experience for the community. What happened was the result of my own poor judgment and does not reflect the team in any way.
In response to my actions, the team took the appropriate measures by freezing and banning my GM account. As a result, you will no longer see Bushdoctor within the world of OctoWoW. I fully accept their decision and believe they acted in the best interest of the server and its players.
I hope this serves as further proof of their commitment to fairness and accountability. If there is any frustration, disappointment, or blame to be directed, please direct it toward me and me alone—not toward the team that has worked tirelessly to build and protect this community.
To the OctoWoW team, thank you for all the hard work, dedication, and passion you pour into this project. I regret that my actions created additional challenges for you and detracted from the experience you work so hard to provide.
To the community, thank you for the adventures, friendships, laughs, and memories. I understand if some of you are disappointed, upset, or unwilling to forgive me. Even so, I felt it was important to come forward, tell the truth, and accept responsibility for my actions. I sincerely apologize. I wish nothing but success and prosperity for OctoWoW and its future. May your adventures be epic, your loot plentiful, and your journeys blessed.
May the Loa watch over your journeys, Champions!
Your servant,
~ Bushdoctor
