Can I have a review of the ban on Rinlan, am fine to even have the account back only if tat is the only option.

I'm a bit confused... Why would there be any option outside of:
a) The ban is correctly applied, it stays.
b) The ban was incorrectly applied and gets reversed entirely.

Looking for a third, in-between option suggests to me that you don't believe it's B...

Think he means just the acc back without chars on it. Instead of making a new account.

Banned for buying 30g. We may consider updating our banning protocols in the future to just soft delete/archive all characters on accounts found RMTing. This is not something we have time to do manually now though unfortunately.

Seems like a lot of unnecessary work to me... Not much difference between that and just having them create a new account unless you wish to invite appeals of "well, my CharacterB wasn't involved so I should get to keep it", which would also mean more verification work required.

Keep it account level IMO. Deleting characters to free up names seems reasonable though.
