I'm a bit confused... Why would there be any option outside of:
a) The ban is correctly applied, it stays.
b) The ban was incorrectly applied and gets reversed entirely.

Looking for a third, in-between option suggests to me that you don't believe it's B...

Think he means just the acc back without chars on it. Instead of making a new account.

Seems like a lot of unnecessary work to me... Not much difference between that and just having them create a new account unless you wish to invite appeals of "well, my CharacterB wasn't involved so I should get to keep it", which would also mean more verification work required.

Keep it account level IMO. Deleting characters to free up names seems reasonable though.

The polester idea....

This idea is the equivalent of the Guild GM who knows that the best method to progress is loot council, yet is worried as to the optics of what the guild will think of him when he distributes the loot to those who are most loyal, show up on time, show up with consumes, and always do their part.

A business (call it what you want but thats what this is) is not a democracy. You knew the right answer, you always knew the right answer, and you even loaded the question so as to obtain the right answer. Its your show, make your decisions; stop reaching out and begging sub-harambians to attempt to think.

**I fought a ballot measure initiative similar to this a year or so ago, went something like this: "Apples are really bad, they are sour, they rot, they steal bicycles, murder children, and eat dogs, would you like to vote to allow apple farming on public land?"

If you are sincere about wanting an honest opinion than don't load your questions. If folks exist in game with an IQ above 40, when they see a loaded question they know as a matter of fact that you were never sincerely seeking an honest answer.

having all chars deleted/suspended is basicly same as banning the account but its easyer to track the offender because his account has a previous flag. to me it sorta make sense to remove/suspend all chars on the account instead of blocking the account itself.
