You'll still have the usual people who donate, but then you also have the people low on gold and willing to trade donation points with others for in-game gold (that is already existing in the game!), and this system have worked so far on Guild Wars 2 for over a decade so I think it's pretty fine.
So you want to get rid of RMT by implementing RMT.

I agree with you, but it's an unpopular opinion.
Yes, RMT is unpopular here. A huge amount of players including myself would quit the server if they implemented that. I do not want to play on a server where the entire damned economy revolves fat retards swiping their credit cards.

An economy simply doesn't exist on these servers. I can't sell anything at minimum suggested bid beyond flowers and ore, and even that is barely a margin. Makes talent and riding progression even that much more painful beyond baseline. Some of us have other things to do with our lives than to maximize a grind.

"minimum suggested bid"

I'm assuming you're talking about AUX or something like that? Almost everything I've been putting up on the AH has been selling for about 150% - 250% of what AUX suggests well above what it's estimating the value of the items are.

But to be clear, there is no inherent "minimum suggested bid" so you're talking about some variety of addon, right?

There are plenty of ways to make gold on this server though, and the economy will only get stronger as more content is released-- but there's definitely an economy as is. Ultimately what you're saying here is that you don't know how to make gold, and want to be able to buy it from people that do. If that's what you want, there are a myriad of servers designed that way including all of the Blizzard servers.

No one is forcing you to play on one of the few servers that don't cater to people wanting to RMT. That's what kills me, there are so many options for people like you, and there are extremely few for people like me.

Minimum bid suggested = the amount shown when you drag an item into the AH. No addons. I just wind up vendoring almost everything instead of losing deposits.

When someone doesn't have an argument to a valid point it always devolves first into insults and then inevitably: 'No one is forcing you to play', instead of simply acknowledging what is a very real issue that wouldn't exist with the original concept gameplay gold costs if there was an actual economy to work with.

That's a lot of words to say "I want to participate in a bannable offense and not be punished for it."

You have no argument. You provided zero examples. What you're saying is objectively untrue. The burden of proof is on you, champ. If you want to make an argument, substantiate it. What specific items are you talking about? I sell on the AH constantly, so what you're saying with zero examples / evidence doesn't line up with my experiences. I can't prove a negative, right? So the burden is on you. If you want to claim you have an argument you need to actually have one.

Until then all you're doing is stating blatant lies in an attempt to make a bannable offense mainstream-- and yes that will result in you being insulted. Because most people view RMTers like you as scumbags. I'm just stating a fact. You want to break rules, and most people look down on those who break rules.

I'm so extremely tired of this horseshit. Don't try to play the high road, what you want implemented is a bannable offense.

The answer is no. You can't buy gold. Fuck off.

You're a petulant child and attempting to put words in my mouth.

There is a real problem with these economies with the state of the server as is.

Early into a server's life, the best sources of gold will usually be raw gold generation, until there's enough gold circulating around for playing the AH to have more significant profit margins than a few silver. One of the problems with bots (out of many) is that they cause inflation to spiral wildly out of control and make most open world gold farms unfeasible due to their sheer volume and efficiency; how are you going to outfarm an algorithm that knows the exact probabilities of a node spawning in a certain location at a certain time? In an AH market controlled by gold farm and price fixer bots, their intent is to spiral inflation so high that the only way you *can* afford certain items is to buy gold through them. It's happened on retail, it's happened on every private server that's capitulated to gold farmer DDoS attacks, and it can happen here too if we don't hold the line. No RMT for gold, no exceptions.

Ust raport Bots and cheatersa. And its not posibel to buy anything exept Pets, and cosmetic stuf in the shop. So if the GM is good on handling raports and more this will be a awsome server. I love playing here now after ddos problems are over.

Some third party providers notified us that they have finished some requested upgrades to their systems and we hope these are able to provide some more short term relief once integrated and turned on.

Nobody is more excited to get past these DDoSes than our dev team right now, thank you for your persistence.
