They started with the 1.17.2 client, but they had a lot of data scraped from 1.18.1 and stuff like total health pools and what not would be extremely easy data for them to get. If they're able to recreate entire dungeons from scraped data they can definitely get the health pool data accurate.Ellinna3601 wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2026 2:06 pm I can't help but to notice that most dungeons and raids feel... easier than they did on Turtle even with far worse gear. It feels as if mobs have less HP and they deal less damage; considering I vaguely remember that Turtle increased mob HP two times in the last few years and OctoWoW started from the 1.7.2 leak, I wonder if this HP increases were just not properly implemented.
thats where you are wrong. the k10 patch was a total failure in hindsight.Ellinna3601 wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2026 2:06 pm If they're able to recreate entire dungeons from scraped data they can definitely get the health pool data accurate.
And I mean, we're talking about MC / Ony / K10. They always felt pretty easy on Nord.
Is Octo any better in that regard?Lib wrote: Mon Oct 12, 2026 1:58 pmthats where you are wrong. the k10 patch was a total failure in hindsight.Ellinna3601 wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2026 2:06 pm If they're able to recreate entire dungeons from scraped data they can definitely get the health pool data accurate.

cheap legendary from a 10 men raid + extreme power creep from talent changes was NEVER addressed. there is no accurate data to extract. the last 20 or so months of turtle wow were a big joke. pvp was broken for the entire time, too.
the shitty legendary actually made me quit. combined with the completely op loot from k10 it was honestly just an insult to vanilla. almost no one ever raided aq20 or zg again after they released k10, it actively destroyed vanilla content. you couldnt let more trinkets drop in k10 if you tried holy fuck what about this is vanilla? i raided almost 10 months for shitty rejuv gem.
and THE WORST PART OF ALL is how k10 legendary established the practice of hard reserves. this was just not a thing on old turtle. no one made a raid and hard reserved items. if you did this people loled at you (unless you actually brought t3 characters). but the stupid legendary forced this trash on the server because it was the first time you didnt need a guild to farm a classic legendary, you could do it with total randoms. that was a critical design error, no such legendary should exist
i played in progression guilds and even old twow was much too easy because of tea.
nevermind after the talent changes it was a total clown show, i healed naxx and never really dropped under 90% mana even when healing maintank in patchwork and stuff like that. late turle was a pure FUN server not a vanilla+
So ur saying xfaction power creep was a mistake and pvp server is the place to be for pve aswell?Lib wrote: Mon Oct 12, 2026 1:58 pmthats where you are wrong. the k10 patch was a total failure in hindsight.Ellinna3601 wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2026 2:06 pm If they're able to recreate entire dungeons from scraped data they can definitely get the health pool data accurate.

Huh??? Getting the scythe to drop in K10 just gave you a nice bookmark for your bank slots. Did you forget you needed K40 as well as the Father Lycan kill (which itself required three 40-man raid groups to down)?Lib wrote: Mon Oct 12, 2026 1:58 pm

I don't know who you think you're responding to but it isn't me, and it doesn't seem to be anyone in this thread either.
So HRs didn't exist, except for when they did exist, but that was ok they existed in those circumstances, but it's not ok that they exist in general.
