You are still welcome to (on non-challenge characters) use a higher level toon or friends to help with difficult quests (like the whirlwind axe).
The boundaries of what is permitted are blurred.
This is a very controversial move. You see, I have friends, and we’ve been playing different versions of WoW for many decades now. They are currently on another server, and I’m inviting them here to OctoWoW. So far, they don’t trust your project the way I do.
When they do come to this server, they won’t be interested in the "kindergarten" leveling – they only care about endgame content. I have the opportunity to help them level up, and you are closing that opportunity.
They will tell me: "We won’t come to your server because we have no desire to spend two months leveling characters."
You will lose a portion of the audience that already has friends here, and they will be put off by the need to spend a huge amount of time leveling characters to 60.
I don’t like these changes.
Moreover, with these restrictions, you won’t defeat RMT. Cunning and dishonest players will simply organize a system of "elevators" with many characters of different levels.
And besides, I absolutely don’t want to manually level alts for professions – it’s a waste of time that I could have spent on PvP.
