"Using a high level character to rapidly aquire EXP on any lower level character. General assistance is not considered boosting but a level 60 AOE farming for other lower level characters is and it is forbidden"

So I'm reading this as, so long I dont AOE to "boost" my own character, I'm welcome to mobtag single mobs at a time.

yes?

No you are not, you are purposefully misunderstanding and trying to skirt the rules. The spirit of the rule is clear, you should play the game and not circumvent playing the game.

I’ll make sure to open a report any time I see two characters grouped together that aren’t the same level as that’s boosting. Getting buffs, using consumes, grouping at all is boosting in my mind.

The boundaries of what is permitted are blurred.

This is a very controversial move. You see, I have friends, and we’ve been playing different versions of WoW for many decades now. They are currently on another server, and I’m inviting them here to OctoWoW. So far, they don’t trust your project the way I do.

When they do come to this server, they won’t be interested in the "kindergarten" leveling – they only care about endgame content. I have the opportunity to help them level up, and you are closing that opportunity.

They will tell me: "We won’t come to your server because we have no desire to spend two months leveling characters."

You will lose a portion of the audience that already has friends here, and they will be put off by the need to spend a huge amount of time leveling characters to 60.

I don’t like these changes.

Moreover, with these restrictions, you won’t defeat RMT. Cunning and dishonest players will simply organize a system of "elevators" with many characters of different levels.

And besides, I absolutely don’t want to manually level alts for professions – it’s a waste of time that I could have spent on PvP.

Then you will be banned for report spamming and trolling. The spirit of the rule is crystal clear. There are plenty of great single player games to play out there if you cant handle playing an MMO as a multiplayer game.

I dont agree with you, I'm not purposefully misunderstanding, I'm reading whats there, and from what I can read, they are defining rapidly aquiring EXP by AOE farming mobs.

Thats why I asked, cuz I want them to clarify what they actually wrote.
It looks like a lot of non thought through rules to prevent something we all want, selling characters.

Explain to me based off the stated rules where the line is then. Can I mob tag with a character that’s the same level? 1 level higher? 5 levels higher? 10? What if they’re in a party and xp is off for the higher level toon. Is that mob tagging. The stated rules are incredibly vague and unclear whether you agree with the change or not. I’ll still play 1-60 solo because I refuse to wait 2 hours to find a group, wait another 30 minutes for everyone to run to the instance, and another hour to clear the dungeon. Much easier to level solo and then raid on a fixed schedule and have fun with friends that way. But I guess I should go back to retail because I can’t handle mmos the way you want me to play

Good change. Boosting is dumb. The people crying about wanting boosting are the types of players that shouldn't be cultivated in the first place. Just play the game like a normal person. Boosting diminishes the game
