You make wild claims about 1x being objectively better than 2x by most metrics, without providing a single metric to back it up, you miscontrue half of what I write and exhibit the reading comprehension of a 6th grader by most "metrics" — literal and inferential understanding of simple text — while simultaneously revealing the grammatical and syntactic ability of the same grade. I never said Vanilla wasn't 1x ; I said I've been through it so don't give me your little tongue in cheek bullshit about Vanilla xp rates when it doesn't apply here.

In fact your entire tirade was based on the self-conceived idea that Turtle was meant to be Vanilla, when it simply isn't and there's empirical evidence towards that in every aspect of Mysteries of Azeroth, which your limited experience on the game doesn't allow you to grasp:
  • Reputation grinds were made easier since all dungeon elites provide experience for the respective reputation they're linked to
  • Most reputation grinds have tradeable turn-in items to further speed up the process
  • There are variants for every tier sets to allow multiple specialisations to be viable
  • Inns provide rested xp at a rate 960x that of Vanilla (5% every 8 hours)
  • You can trade set pieces for their damage/tank/healer equivalent at npcs
  • Auction houses don't take a cut
  • You can use group finder and BG finder from anywhere
  • Vampirism was introduced as a stat to provide an ease of grinding/AoE farming without requiring rest/potions
  • The donation shop has nothing but QoL items like the repair bot, bank, mail that you can access from anywhere
There's so much more and you don't know 1/10th of it yet still are here grandstanding about how leveling is what makes the game hard or not and that leveling requires skill since you call people who don't want to deal with its tediousness, noobs.

You write like a child, act like one and resort to childish name calling when no one gives a shit about your two cents. You're not a Turtle player — you said it yourself — end of argument.

Your strawmanning might work with your equally cognitively impaired friends, but it doesn't work in the world of adults.

You're perfectly entitled to your opinion without calling people names or acting like a child, so other than putting your inability to process basic literal and inferential understanding of simple text on display for the world to see and not providing any decent argument since your first reply on top of using ad hominems in nearly every sentence, what exactly do you achieve here?

Keep the ridicule coming or go back to retail/TBC/WotLK or whichever expansion you've been playing on

Turtle has always made QoL changes in the direction of "enjoy the game not the grind".
retail has all sorts of quality of life features. like being able to pay $60 to instantly be max level. think about it, how much work would you have to do irl to pay for max level on retail? probably like 1 hour maybe 2 or 3 hours of work. compared to grinding out levels in wow? thats like days of /played, maybe 22 hours if youre on <Method>. why not just play retail? or why not just ask for paid level 60 boosts? for you, its quality of life to have 2x experience across the board on our pvp server. for me, 1x experience is the game. 2x experience is a baby boy crybaby insta 60 fun server level stupid.
And now the child compares QoL to P2level... he's the gift that keeps on giving — your entire argument is around
Joyson wrote:the process of leveling up is a gameplay design that prevents players who are not willing to sacrifice the time investment in order to get to level 60 from being on the same power level as players who did
Which becomes moot the very second we drag my green guildmate through Naxxramas because we need a healer for K40 — he instantly overtakes you in power level despite you liking it or not and despite the so-called sacrifices you've made. No one should sacrifice anything over a game that isn't intended to be competitive and for which no one is getting paid ; it's meant to be enjoyable.

You not understanding that tells me you're very much a child inside & out.

it is
Yotca wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2026 12:14 am Ywithout providing a single metric to back it up

the "metric" i use is the fact that 2004 they had "1x" rate experience servers and the idea that 1x experience servers are the most normal and what players would expect
Yotca wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2026 12:14 am you miscontrue half of what I write and exhibit the reading comprehension of a 6th grader by most "metrics"
i never misconstrued anything, you go back and edit your posts after ive already replied to them. your opinion of my reading comprehension is the same as your opinion of what is a good idea

lol wut dude? wtf are you even talking about? it 100% applies here, even though you "went through it" lol i went through it, joe shmo went through it, we all still play on 1x experience rate servers because everyone has to also level at 1x experience rate.
Yotca wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2026 12:14 am In fact your entire tirade was based on the self-conceived idea that Turtle was meant to be Vanilla
actually my entire tirade was based on the idea that i dont want to play on a 2x experience rate server
Yotca wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2026 12:14 am when it simply isn't and there's empirical evidence towards that in every aspect of Mysteries of Azeroth
technically its not vanilla, though its about 90% to 95% vanilla, with just additional content and new abilities, new recipies, ect.
Yotca wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2026 12:14 am which your limited experience on the game doesn't allow you to grasp:
idk, i got to level 60 on the pve server and downed cthun. i saw a lot of the content. not as much as i wish i could have. but i think ive experienced enough of the server to fully grasp how its basically just classic that they released in 2019, but with a lot of improvements

reputation grinds are a much smaller aspect to the game than levelling to level 60. if im not mistaken, there are no required reputation grinds in order to get full tier 3.5 raid bis and defeat every raid boss, whereas there are level requirements to enter raids

lol bruh 2x experience servers are baby mode crybaby fun insta 60 type servers. thats all im trying to say. most people want 1x experience rate servers because thats how it was in vanilla. simple as

you have to be level 60 to enter naxxramas, so you still have to at least get to level 60 before you can get carried through naxxramas by your guildmates

well you have to sacrifice time to level, even at 2x experience

I haven't edited a single thing outside of syntax and grammar as I'm using speech to text. You really need to grow up. You misconstrued what I said about vanilla xp rates, you've even misconstrued the entire point which is dungeon boosting to which you have no counter argument. There are multiple polls which are all in favor of allowing alt/friend/guildmate boosting ; saying most people want or like X without any knowledge of the topic when it's been polled both on discord and the forums is sufficient to regard anything you say as bullshit and that's the reputation you're currently making for yourself on this game.

Backpeddling your "most metrics" into the sole metric that in 2004 it was 1x xp rates is impressive too ; people would play classic not Turtle if thats what we wanted.

Trying to convert your tirade from "it's Vanilla" without knowing the first thing about Twow to "I don't want to play on x2 server" is also hilarious.

We're asking for things as they were and you weren't here or a part of it.
Go play classic if you want shit to be more Vanilla like.

i didnt misconstrue you sir, you just got really butt hurt and wrote a lot when i called you a baby boy crybaby and called your idea of a 2x experience rate server an insta 60 fun server baby boy crybaby server for babies who dont like to lose, oops sorry i mean <Method> players
Yotca wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2026 1:09 am There are multiple polls which are all in favor of allowing alt/friend/guildmate boosting
i dont think whether or not people are allowed to dungeon boost matters. i originally replied to you about your desire for a server wide 2x experience rate

wrong, people play turtle over classic because its got no layering and like 3 or 4 new raids and a ton of new content

does that mean you want 1x experience rate like "as they were" in vanilla 2004? or 2x experience rates like "as they were" on tel'abim with like 500 population?

You seem terribly hurt that you were at best part of a sub tier raiding guild that only cleared solved content — maybe don't call people noobs when they run circles around you in every aspect of the game; like it or not you've also indeed misconstrued multiple things to which you have no defense for except more bullshit ad hominems and pseudo-explanations that are excuses at best.

I never said I desired 2x xp rates — that's you being an illiterate moron from the start — talking about xp rates, even mentioning 2004 over Nordanaar or Tel'Abim is another impossibly stupid and obvious display of your limited reading comprehension — why the pvp server should have 2x xp was detailed at length in both discord and here... don't come into a conversation you never were a part of since you obviously just joined Octo — TA also had 1500 players daily so I'm wondering if you actually ever did play and that's not just more of your bullshit.

Your first reply was you making this about me and not all the people who want it while straight up failing to actually read despite me using plain and simple language ; you read and write like the interns that don't stay with us... you're near illiterate. Do keep adding parts to your clown costume.

I vote no to boosting and griefing. But restore Rested XP to 2x as it should be.

People complaining leveling is too slow: enable warmode and always go rested, or join another private server.
People complaining leveling is too fast: go slow & steady, go exhaustion, disable XP gain whenever you want.
