Frost reflector trinket will wreck plenty of shamans on its own as well.
Yeah spend 10 seconds dispelling buffs and killing Totems doing 0 dmg to the Shaman while the Shaman chunks you for 50% of your HP with a melee.

It's no different to fighting Paladins: you can't go toe-toe with them but they can be easily kited and go oom very fast. Best bet is to put dots on them, slow them, kite them, cc, bandage up. They are very dangerous if given space however they lack the tools to control tempo. As a Sub Rogue I enjoy fighting Shamans; I keep them slowed always with my bleeds ticking on them, if they flame shock me then I'm kiting them with ease, if they frost shock me then they risk me vanishing sapping and getting a full reset.

Shaman is a class I can reliably kill without using CDs: had no issue against them back on Turtle and have no issue with them here.

Trinkets, potions - all this stuff cannot be included into PVP class balancing.
Potions cost a lot of gold, trinkets got long cd and you cannot switch them fast enough on bgs (they got 30 sec cd after equipping). When you play vs multiple players on shamans you cannot rely on a trinket or a potion.
Also one can tell that you need a shadow reflect trinket vs warlocks too, you need to use insignia to go out of frost nova or sheep or fear.. And there are only 2 trinket slots sadly.

So stop trying to lure us away from the fact that there are 8-9 shamans per AB on horde side in multiple games. It's not a coincidence.

Trinkets are absolutely part of Classic PvP balancing and more so on Classic+.

I had a game just recently where there was almost 10 priests in an AB. You are a hunter main if I'm not mistaken, those Shamans should fear your name.

You have feign death which allows you to switch trinkets in combat effectively bypassing long cooldowns.

That works in WPvP which isn't what he's talking about here. The instant totem drops x4 with multiple shamans quickly become impossible to manage and the Shocktanks simply can't be killed by all physical damage dealer classes with equal gear. I don't hear anyone saying "protection warriors are terrifying their shield slams deal too much damage" — tanks shouldn't be able to deal that much damage and that shouldn't be something that needs to be argued

Stop defending a broken class, noob. Shaman makes up 10% of all lvl 60 characters despite being faction locked. That's not a coincidence.

Regardless, I played a ton of Arena and our premades dominated Tel'Abim: in arena you cc them kite them all the same; BGs you play obj, keep the Shamans rooted slowed and CCd. I have yet to see anything other than a skilled resto shaman having dominating impact in either BGs or Arena. They go oom way to fast to have significant control in AB and in WSG they are sub par flag carriers and do very little to threaten Allies carriers.

Perhaps I have Rogue bias as clearly people are complaining about them; however, if I had the choice between a Paladin or a Shaman on my PvP roster I would pick a Paladin 9 times out of 10.
